yes I did base this off of the kihunter from the metroid series (those acid spitting over grown wasps of a creature) The Archtoide has 3 stages Beta: larva Alpha: nymph Epsilon: adult Omega: adult (upgraded) Beta: can be killed but is completely harmless. These creatures can be equipped and used as a light source Alpha: the second stage of the Beta. These are more agressive and difficult to deal with. these spider like creatures will relentlessly jump at you
