A desert is hot, so WindClan has resorted to living underground. A cool, glittering cavern is WindClan`s new Camp, hidden in a location that is yet to be found by those outside of WindClan(it is VERY hard to come across if you don`t know where it is). PRESS SPACE TO SEE TERRITORY ART I`ll add more when I have time I promise If you have any questions, ask in the comments! CAMP WindClan Camp can be entered via an old tree about 40 feet away from The Ruins. The walk through is 20 feet and the Camp itself is massive in order to fit so many cats. The Camp is a cave lit up perfectly by shimmering blue crystals, the smallest being on the walls to mimic the starry sky visible in their old Camp. Sunlight and moonlight can not enter, so WindClan relies on the crystals.. There is only one entrance/exit. This makes it hard to sneak attack, but it also makes it hard to leave any other way. The Camp is a massive point to a cave system, which is cut off due to rocks blocking any other pathways except for the entrance under the tree. A stream is visible on the right side of Camp, where water runs freely for WindClan cats to drink. Nests are made up of old scraps of cloth from The Ruins. GLEAMSTONE The gleamstone is where meetings are held. It is in the direct center of the camp and is by far the biggest crystal slab jutting from the floor. The leader can Climb up and call meetings easily. Under the Gleamstone is the leader's den with a tiny 2 ft long passage that leads to it. "Let all cats old enough to run in the sand, gather beneath the Gleamstone for another Clan meeting." MEDICINE DEN AND NURSERY The Medicine Den and Nursery is a crevice to the right of the Gleamstone. The two dens are connected to make it easier to get to queens giving birth. The dens, while connected, do have a wall with another crevice in between them to get to each other. The main crevice into the Medicine Den is on the floor for the easiest transport. (No obstacles, such as stairs) There are small holes in the walls for kittens to hide in incase of emergency(such as an attack). It is only small enough for the kittens to fit into. WARRIORS+APPRENTICES DEN The Warriors and Apprentices den are a entered via a series of stair-like stone extensions coming from the wall. They are spaced out enough for cats to leap between step-to-step to get up. It is a good practice for agility! The warriors and apprentices practically share the den, with there only being a tiny wall that splits them up. Warriors are able to easily check up on the youth. ELDERS DEN The elders den is located in a crevice to the left of the Gleamstone and near the shallow stream of water. It's a big den with enough space for the elders to get around and get their exercise. FRESHKILL PILE The freshkill pile is located right outside of the Medicine Den. It's easy to access and constantly filled with scrumptious prey.
THE TERRITORY WindClan lives on a coastal desert that is hot by day and cold by night. WindClan gets their hydration from the stream in camp while feasting on jackrabbits and ground squirrels. (It is recommended that your cat hunts/patrols at night, dawn, or dusk to avoid overheating) Fennec foxes roam WindClan territory. They are not hard to chase off due to how similar in size they are, however, do not let them near kits. The Fennec foxes are likely to attack and kill kits. If they're desperate, they may attack an adult cat. The biggest danger to WindClan are the coyotes, which are about twice the size of a sitting adult domestic cat. They will catch and kill cats, no matter how old the cat is. The territory is the smallest of the four, but still massive in size. THE FRAGMENTS The Fragments is a part of WindClan territory covered in sand. Ancient things can be dug up and used for accessories. However, a massive coyote patrols the place, occasionally with two-three others. The Fragments is surrounded by a forest of towering cacti. TUNNEL ENTRANCE The tunnel entrance is an abandoned Fennec Fox burrow that is big enough for cats to fit in. It goes about six feet below the sand, where clay can be dug into and tunneling can happen. COYOTE DENS There is a pack of coyotes living in a series of den along the base of the canyon. They find their ways up via jagged stair-like rocks. THE RUINS The Ruins are the remnants of an ancient civilization. There are sandstone buildings, with the biggest being an arena-like area with a roof covering it. There is a room within the arena with a sand-covered throne. Cats can climb atop the arena and get a beautiful view of sunsets/sunrises. (it can also be used as a training grounds) There is a corroding golden statue of a cat sitting in the center of the ruins. The statue rests on a sandstone slab with writing on it. "Wr khu pdmhvwb, zkr ihg, vkhowhuhg, dqg surwhfwhg xv iurp wkh hohphqwv." Twolegs come and explore the place sometimes, believing that it is haunted by ghosts(think 16 year olds with tiny vlogging channels exploring and titling it something like “HAUNTED RUINS! DON'T WATCH AT 3 AM !!GONE WRONG!!”.) RIVERCLAN/SHADOWCLAN BORDER A small fraction of WindClan territory holds the oasis. Only a couple of trees. THUNDERCLAN BORDER The ThunderClan border is the biggest territory bordering WindClan. GATHERING BORDER By the gathering border is dry grassland, a good place for cats to be reminded of the old territories(if they ever were there). CANYON The canyon parts WindClan territory by two miles, the only way across being a sturdy, skinny old bridge with an oddly rotting stench. The fall could break a cat`s bones, or even be fatal. TERRITORY DANGERS HEAT Going out during the day can be a death sentence to the cats of WindClan, as the sand is touched by scorching sunlight that burns pads. Because of this, WindClan have adapted to be nocturnal. COYOTES While a common threat, coyotes are not to be messed with. These animals can easily take a cat`s life without second thought-- it`s a rough game of survival out in the desert. FENNEC FOXES While much more beatable and less of a concern than coyotes, fennecs are still something WindClan is cautious about. These tiny foxes stand at about the same size as a cat and don`t often attack unless they are desperate. - ART: @rmdunc02 CAT FEATURED IN THE GLEAMSTONE PIECE: Creamstar(@chaoticquail-) AUDIO: Desert Howling Wind - Sound Effect(YT: Audio Library - Free Sound Effects)
