"QUACK YOU, QUACK YOU, QUACK YOU!" a long-haired red-head yelled at a good-looking strong guy, jolting Steve awake, and slapping a random dude out of the way, as she ran out of the building. She seemed to be on the verge of tears, obviously upset about something the guy had said. Steve glared at the guy who had caused the red-head to run, wondering what he had said. He stood, shoved his chair in, walked up to the guy, punched him in the face, and started after the red-head. he saw her sitting on a rack of barrels in an alley by the southern gate of the city. "hey, you ok? i uh- saw what happend..." "I am one hundred percent okay." the lifted her head and looked at him, she had obviously been crying, but the glare she gave him, mixed with those emerald-green eyes, shocked him into silence. he shook his head, then said, "Well obviously you're not." she snorted then retorted; " I guess someone can't understand sarcasm. Of course I'm not okay dipQUACK" She smacked him on the top of his head, he knew she hadn't actually hit him, and that she was being playful. But it still hurt, he suddenly felt pity for the guy she had slaped full-force. ouch. He cast her a look, then introduced himself. " I'm Steve _____, what's your name?" "Alex" "You don't like saying long conversations do you" She raised an eyebrow at this, then said, "Well what do you think?" Steve had no answer to this, as Alex seemed unpredictable. "No comment." "Alright then" Alex hopped off the box beside him. She glanced at him and muttered; "Well, I've spent to long here already. Goodbye, Steve." "What do you mean?" "I travel a lot, I'm an adventurer per say, now it is my time to leave." "Well, let's adventure together!" Alex stared at him, her face saying 'is he for real?' then she blinked, and said; "Fine. Come along if you want to." she turned and exited the alleyway, with Steve giddy with exitement, bouncing on his heels following closely behind with a wild grin on his face. It was dark by the time they met up at the southern gate, Steve had a large backpack, While Alex, had a small bag, that smelled slightly of fire. She had dual white blades sheathed in an x on her back. Steve had a nice iron sword, in good condition, under his bag, hidden from view. Sweet. Alex looked him up and down, then raised an eyebrow asking, "You need all this stuff?" " It all has a purpose" he said, giving her a thumbs-up. She sighed, rolling her eyes and walked out of the gate, Steve quickly following, despite his heavy load. It grew dark quickly, giving Steve a bad feeling, as they walked through the birch forest. Alex had unraveled a map and was walking while looking at it. She said, "There's a ravine up ahead, watch your step." while rolling the map back up and putting it in her bag. Steve heard a short ' twang' of a bow. Alex had obviously heard it to, because they both rolled in opposite directions, Alex into the shrubbery, Steve almost into the ravine. The shooter was a skeleton, and it aimed it's bow again, towards the shrubbery Alex had disappeared into. Steve muttered, "Oh no you don't" and ran up behind the boned monster, and split it's spine in half with one upwards swoop with his sword. Alex hopped out of the brush as it poofed into arrows. She grabbed the arrows and shoved them into her bag. Then, noises screamed through the trees, and a horde of monsters surrounded them, appearing from the shadows of the birch wood. "Oh- well QUACK" Steve muttered as an arrow flew at his face.
