Hello people! It's been......too long? The Capitol has grown bored of the tributes' stalemate and has decided to do something about it. Of course, in classic Capitol fashion, this will be no small feat! We asked everyone which island their tribute was on BEFORE the event so that there would be no cheating. Anyone who did not respond to the comment within the 24 hours given was put onto Stratus Island. Now you may be asking, why Stratus Island? Well, that will be revealed in a moment's time ? In their boredom, the Capitol called upon the gamemakers to make things more... interesting. These gamemakers decided to press a red button. What does the red button do? It blows up Stratus Island. Everyone alive has to write a reaction to the explosion if they are to pass this check. Should they be on the island, they must escape it. If they are on the other two islands, they will still have other problems. Nimbus Island will deal with heavy smoke that makes it hard to see and breathe, and Cumulus will have to deal with the ocean itself, as the explosion sent the water up into crazed waves that will crash onto the island in a frenzy. Both remaining islands will need to deal with chunks of the destroyed landmass that are sent screaming through the air, landing and breaking apart upon impact. These rocks came from the explosion and are being fired all over the arena in bursts of flames. Good luck. Based on your rp reaction, we will calculate your hp based off a rubric, which we will not be revealing so no one cheats lol. On Stratus Island, the max amount of hp you can lose is 50% which is 7.5hp- unless you do not rp, in which case you will be marked as inactive, and your character will be lost to the flames. Fatalities will apply to all islands. On the other islands, you can only lose a max of 5hp, so you're slightly safer. Deep within the core of the explosion, a green light begins to give off an eerie glow, and a faint hissing sound echoes through the silence after the blast. All tributes with a strange rock or bucket are granted the following: Rock - if you are in possession of a strange rock from the cornucopia from getting it yourself or from inheriting it from another tribute, it begins to emit a glow similar to that in the heart of the explosion. Whenever you hold it near, a wave of power courses through you. You feel somehow stronger than before. - +1 attack or dodge buff, choose before each fight Bucket - if you are in possession of a bucket through similar means, you can hear a hissing coming from deep within. Upon closer inspection, it appears it contains a holographic snake modeled after Imperium's own. Although at first intimidating, the snake appears completely loyal to you and will not display hostility towards you or your allies. - if you roll a 1 or 2 on a dodge or attack, your snake can reroll for you to either take the damage or strike back. This can be used twice per battle. Anyways, that's the event! May the odds be ever in your favor~
