Oh boy Well...this is a lot. The things that happen in just under 12 months The original piece was posted on August 21, 2021. That's a long time ago. For starters, a lot of the original story and character design has changed. I mean, Sai's still pretty recongnizable because of the hair and fins and stuff, but the story has done a complete 180 and then decided it had time to stop at starbucks on the way to work, so it's even more lost and off track than before. Original Sai arc: Little fish boy who gets scooped out of his pond to be put in an illegal hybrid fighting arena. He meets friends there and it's all fine and dandy until the owner stabs him and throws him into the water, so his friends mistake him for dead and leave him behind when they escape. Sai is sad boy which turns to mad boy which turns to murder boy. Current Sai arc: Little fish boy stolen from his parents at a young age because of a new law passed in Cosa declaring that all hybrid minors be surrendered or forcibly taken for the safety of the public. He grew up in the hero training program with his unit members, but always despised it. He meets a villain in civilian form whom he almost considers his friend, and they manage to convince him to give into his darker thoughts.
