"...ᴛʜᴀɴᴋ ᴛʜᴇ ꜱᴛᴀʀꜱ ɪᴛ'ꜱ ꜰʀɪᴅᴀʏ, ɪ'ᴍ ʙᴜʀɴɪɴɢ ʟɪᴋᴇ ᴀ ꜰɪʀᴇ ɢᴏɴᴇ ᴡɪʟᴅ ᴏɴ ꜱᴀᴛᴜʀᴅᴀʏ..." The young wolf was the unusual female out of a litter of five southwest of Dusk Valley. Her father was a pure grey wolf. Her mother had some grey wolf blood, but was mostly an Arctic wolf who had escaped from a fur farm. All of Nova’s siblings were either off-white and grey or just grey, however Nova was a leutistic Arctic wolf. Having a best friend named Quill helped guide her through early-life difficulties. She grew up being unusually the largest out of her litter. She was even bigger than the male pups. By the time she was 12 moons, she was a skilled huntress and was soon-to-be dubbed beta of the pack. However, the night when the Alphas were about to announce the news, a deadly poisonous fire spread through the den. It devoured anything in its path, including mice, grouse, voles, and the pack. It was too late by the time Nova reached the den, as she had been out patrolling the territory. Quill was dying. “Nova… go safe yourself…” Those were the last words she had heard of her pack. Heart-broken, she ran away from her home, as fast as she legs could take her. By the end of a week, you couldn’t tell her from a coyote. Possibly because of her looks, a pack of one took her in, allowing her to gain back her strength. By the time she was healthy enough, the coyotes realized she was not one of them. They chased her out of their pack, but Nova still was thankful to them and since then has had a huge respect for them. Nova’s journey continued northeast, eventually ending up in human territory. The she-wolf decided that she could make the best out of being there, making daily patrols to disarm traps and eat what had been caught in ones that she hadn’t noticed before. Everything changed the day when she was placing a stick in a bear trap. A black wolf with a red eye and a white crescent moon on her forehead attacked her and that wolf named Eclipse had changed everything for her. LeafPack was born.
