Enjoy <3 [ click or arrow keys to progress ] 1. Underpainting: I block out the general colors. It's really not much to look at, just trust the process 2. Rough painting: I go a bit into detail and paint the forms of the main things in the piece, such as the water, bushes, and tree. Just to plan for the next step; 3. Detailed painting: I fix up the rough painting and make the bushes look less like blobs! A lot of effort was put into the waterfall pfft 4. Background: I first painted the large moss covered bush/mountain things in the background, then gaussian blurred them to make the background look more finished. 5. Lighting and finishing touches: I fixed up the waterfall a bit more, and used soft light to give the lighting effect. I also added vines because I felt like it was missing something 6. Character: I put the scene into Krita and drew in the character! Tiki [ long orange, purple and red boi ] ➵ genderless [ they / them ] ➵ can't fly, but often tries to ➵ always looks neutral and slightly depressed ➵ loves tofu soup, but always gives the tofu chunks away because their mouth is too small to eat them ➵ enjoys human food, sometimes steals food from human cities behind Mowgli's back Mellin [ teal birb? ] ➵ female [ she / her ] ➵ slightly aggressive ➵ chirps very loudly ➵ pips' mom ➵ has a recurring dream where she turns into a dragon and basically decimates a village [ godzilla esq. ] Pips [ yellow chick ] ➵ always wandering around ➵ has separation anxiety ➵ an idiot ➵ surprisingly, the only one who can fly ➵ enjoys making leaves into umbrellas and accessories ➵ loves playing hide and seek with mowgli, then just hopping into their tail to hide (pips stop cheating) - - - BACKSTORY
