The story behind the animation: When Stormpaw was an apprentice, he went to a gathering and met Matilda, and they became friends. One day, Matilda seemingly vanished, and Stormpaw forgot about her. Then one day, Matilda and Stormpaw, now Stormstar, saw each other again! Stormstar was overjoyed, and asked Matilda to be his mate. Matilda was shocked because Stormstar already had a mate, Riverstep. Stormstar explained how Riverstep was exiled for being seen talking to Pinefrost, the son of Darkfang, the Clan's greatest enemy. Matilda then told Stormstar the truth: That Pinefrost was already her mate. After that, they didn't speak to each other again until the day before the final battle, where they said sorry. Honestly, this song fits Stormstar and Riverstep better than Stormstar and Matilda, but I really wanted to draw Matilda, so...
