No Good Al Joad MAP collab 1. First sketch for Bluestar. Maybe some basic shapes idk 2. This is where I figured out the colors. The leaves are in reference to the green stuff on the album cover. The blue was gotten from overlaying Get Disowned’s album cover with Painted Shut’s album cover. 3-4. More concepts of Bluestar. This was more messing with the lighting and stuff. There is a more desaturated version which looks okay in Clip Studio but didn’t really translate well to Scratch for some reason. TwT 5. Looked at Al Joad and got some more ideas. All these colors are rough and idk what markings to do so yeah. I’ll leave that up to you Mink if that is ok. 6. A Bluestar sketch. I think this a better example for the collar shirt turned into chest fluff idea,,, 7. Tigerclaw as well a tiger looking kitty! I explained the tar and feathers idea in the comment reply so yeah,,, 8. She sure is covered in grime. Grime in the song I think references a more emotional baggage, but I think the tar could be a dual reference to that (as it represents Tigerclaw’s betrayal) 9. Wowie! The one I had the strongest vision for I think. I think a few things sized-wise can be fixed but yeah! The moon is featured in the original book thing that is pictured in the album art. I tried to give the leaves more layers because that’s how they actually are in the book thing that the album’s cover was made with (it is explained on the band’s account on the blue bird app, I just don’t know how to word it :pensive:) 10. Firestar. Going with my ginger =yellow idea for the MAP design yeah. 11-12. Diamond Mine! YIPEE! Y’know like the song. It’s right before No Good Al Joad on the Album. I tried perspective yeah :nodding:. I think the moonstone would be at the bottom of the diamond mine. I think there could be cool lighting scenarios with that idea. 13. My least favorite concept art but here he is, Goosefeather!! I think he could have been more Goose-like if I followed through with the idea of Tigerclaw’s. He has geraniums in his pelt because Painted Shut’s Sister Cities mentions a ins*ne uncle who shakes his geraniums so yeah! I think it can sometimes symbolize foolishness but also can symbolize good health, wishes, etc. So food for thought I guess. In To Kill a Mockingbird (a book I have never read lol) they apparently represent desire or something so yeah! Maybe it fits :nodding:. That’s all for now, I got to go to sleep.
