August is the /real/ first month of spring and you cannot convince me otherwise. Every year, without fail, the first blossom on our plum trees comes out on 1 August. It's when the weather starts getting milder, and in fact has the best temperature of any month in my opinion. It's when the blossoms and early flowers - notably violets and daffodils - are at their best. By September they're starting to look a bit ragged. August is spring, at least in this hemisphere, according to everything but the actual calendar. And let's face it, the calendar doesn't match up very well to reality at any point. Summer starts in November, autumn doesn't arrive until April, and winter begins halfway through May. And often there's a second winter partway through spring as well. Bring down the calendar! And yes, I am aware that literally everyone I know on Scratch is in the northern hemisphere. Happy autumn, you lot!
