The chances of a fox having magic is increased if they are related to a fox with magic, though there is a small chance of a fox without any magic in their bloodline being born with magic. However, this is extremely rare and that fox will almost always have yellow magic, sometimes even more rarely having monochrome magic instead. The closer the relative with magic and their magic level also influences the chance of magic and the power level. Foxes NEVER have genetic wings and magic. As a general rule, the weaker the magic, the more common it is. [Insert Violet and Sunfire's parents' punnett square here] *Improper grammar in the drawing, sorry! Note that the weaker magic is always dominant when determining magic type. In the punnett square example I provided, it was Red magic and Green magic, so red would be dominant to green. Dominant to both is no magic though. Yes, this means that Sunfire and Violet's dad has no magic, though since he has a green magic Allele, he can pass magic down to his children, which he did. Their mom has red magic with a recessive green magic allele so she can pass red magic or green magic to her children. Both kids were lucky, since there is only a 1/2 chance of magic passing from their parents to them and even less chance of green magic.
