It was year 1795..Word had gone around the village that there would be a party held at Raven Manor. Not just any party..A masquerade..Everyone in town was filled with suspicion except one individual..Phantom..The night of the ball was beyond outstanding!Everyone tried to look their best in front of Lady Rose, especially Phantom..You see Phantom was new around the village, he was just a dear traveler. Most thought he was odd and stayed away from him..At the ball ,Phantom was standing with his lonesome. The ball music echoed everywhere in the room. It all seemed to stop for a second though, the music, the dancing, everything..It all just ceased for a moment. Lady Rose smiled and stood, looking down at the whole village with loving eyes. She came down the great stairs and headed in Phantoms direction. At first Phantom didn’t notice the beautiful figure approaching him, that was until he heard her. “Hello, mind if I stand with you?” She said with a smile. The whole village seemed just as shocked he was. He smiled “Of course Lady Rose” he bowed and then looked at her. She giggled and did a little curtsy. He chuckled quietly and then took a sip of his tea. “So might I know the name of the handsome traveler?” She said dramatically with a giggle. He chuckled again “Phantom” he said with a smile. “Pleasure to meet you Phantom!” She smiled and blushed. He kinda blushed too and started to feel butterflies in his stomach. Hours passed as they talked and laughed..The clock struck midnight, half the people were gone and in there beds..But that didn’t stop Phantom and Lady Rose from having fun. “I wanna show you something” she whispered into Phantoms ear, he nodded. “Meet me outside in my garden” she said with a wink. Lady Rose was already gone before Phantom could ask a question. He started walking out of the manor and headed toward the garden and there she was, Lady rose, in all her beauty. He could feel his face redden as he approached her. She was staring at the sky. Lady Rose turned around to face Phantom when he was in arms reach. He stared at her with loving eyes. Lady rose closed her eyes and sighed. The moon shone down on them, making them look like glowing stars..Phantom looked at her sadly, his thoughts echoed in the chasms of his mind..he began feeling anxiety, thinking that Lady Rose would never love him back……..”Lady Rose..Sadly my time here is done. I shall be traveling when the birds begin to sing..” he bowed one more time before leaving..Little did Phantom know that..that was the last time he would ever see Lady Rose ever again, or so he thought..Phantom only got just the tiniest bit of sleep that night..He knew it was morning,.probably around 3:00 in the morning..but that didn’t stop him. He grabbed his bag and started heading off…Before he could even make it out of the village he was grabbed..He turned around to face his attacker, but it was to dark to see. The attacker punched him hard on the head, knocking him out cold. Next thing he knew, he woke up tied to a tree by the lake..The attacker now slightly more visible approached Phantom. “Finally we can begin now that you’re awake” the man bellowed. He squirmed, trying to get free of the ropes. The man smirked and untied his ropes, only for a second just to get him off the tree, before tying them even tighter. He attached three heavy stones to his feet. Phantom knew what was coming for him..The man smiled and threw Phantom in the lake. Phantoms eyes widened as he panicked. Each second he sank further and further down..His things from his bag spilling out, just like his memories..He cried, as he thought the end was near a light shone in the water..A bright teal light, brighter than the moon and the stars..Phantom panicked as he saw it getting closer and closer to him…His eyes began to close as his air began to run low..Luckily the ropes weren’t tied the best so they slipped right off..Before his eyes closed he saw a single piece of paper fly out of his bag..It read “I love you..Lady Rose” He smiled just slightly..Feeling as though he accomplished the one goal left in his life..a couple years later..Phantom opened his eyes.”wha-what happened?” The note from Lady Rose was now blurry and damaged like many of the other things in the water..His eyes glowed teal, no longer the mortal eyes he knew before….He swam up immediately, the second his lungs felt the moist air, he felt alive!He smiled. Suddenly he remembered Lady Rose..”Lady Rose!” He yelled as he swam back to land. The minute his paws touched the soggy earth below, he ran. He picked some beautiful flowers and ran faster and faster until he was there…Raven manor..Or that’s what it used to be..Now it was just ruins of a long forgotten fairytale..a fairytale of love, jealousy, and death…
