Song: Little Nightmare Art: @yellowpenmaker Coloring: @Lostlark Character: Moonsea (scroll down for backstory) Backstory: Born in ThunderClan, Moonsea started out as a tiny bundle of fur. But she had no idea what fate awaited her... because ever since she became and apprentice, she started to have nightmares. And the weird thing about it was that she had the exact same dream every time... about her best friend, Emberpaw, dying beside the lake, blood gushing out of her throat, and Emberpaw's blood on Moonsea's claws. After moons have passed, Moonsea finally earned her warrior name. And for once, she had a different night dream, but it was not really good news either, because Moonsea met a Dark Forest cat that told her to kill Emberpaw, (now Emberpetal,) and then Moonsea understood that the dream she had when she was an apprentice was sent to her by that Dark Forest cat who Moonsea was standing in front of now. Moonsea protested, trying her best to wake up, but she just wouldn't. That is when the Dark Forest cat sprung at her, clawing at Moonsea's throat and trying to break her neck. Moonsea thrashed and thrashed, but it was no use. Suddenly she woke up, back in ThunderClan camp in the warriors' den. Emberpetal had woken her up when she saw Moonsea thrashing and muttering in her sleep. "what happened, Moonsea...?" Emberpetal whispered. "she... she told me to kill you, Emberpetal..." Moonsea croaked in fear. "Who, my friend!?" "That Dark Forest cat..." Moonsea began, shaking. "She told me to kill you, Emberpetal... but I just didn't want to... and then she tried to kill me..." "Oh my..." Emberpetal gasped. "There is something I have to tell you, friend..." Moonsea told Emberpetal about her nightmares as an apprentice. Emberpetal then stood still for a moment. There was an awkward pause. "Moonsea, there is something I have to tell you too..." Moonsea wondered, 'did Emberpetal have similar dreams when SHE was an apprentice?' "StarClan told me that our destiny, mine and yours, Moonsea, is to defeat the Dark Forest together. Tonight, they said, we shall strike..." Emberpetal said. That night, Emberpetal and Moonsea met each other in Dark Forest. When they found the cat that tried to force Moonsea to kill her best friend, they both attacked her. But then a whole swarm of Dark Forest cats attacked the two friends, giving them no chances to survive. A black attacked Moonsea, hissing, and pinned her down. Then, with a quick snap, the evil cat snapped Moonsea's neck. Moonsea yowled in agony, catching a glimpse of Emberpetal dying with fatal wounds on her pelt. Moonsea's eyes closed slowly, everything going dark. "Wavekit! Wavekit! Wake up, please!" Somebody yowled. Moonsea woke up, realizing that her life was just a nightmare. She was back with her real mother, real friends, and real life, but she couldn't get the thought of Emberpetal dying out of her head. "Mommy, I had a nightmare!" Wavekit reported. "It is okay, my kit. It is just a Little Nightmare."
