Gem excitedly bursts through the door of her adopted sister, Shade’s room. ‘I’M GETTING PROMOTED!!’, She shouts at the top of her lungs, loudly awakening her poor little sister. ‘Ugh, what time is it?’ Says Shade, drearily rubbing her half-closed eyes. ‘Dad just called and said that I would be the general of the new rebel team, and I would name it and invite people to join! Isn’t this exciting, sis?’. Shade rubs her eyes again, and nods. ‘That’s great, sis. But, still, what time is it?’. Gem hands Shade the alarm clock and she reads that it is 11:20 am. . . . . . Sterling fumbles his keys, and finally manages to pick the correct one. He unlocks the door, and finds Victor fixing breakfast for Gem and Shade. Seeing him, Gem quickly gets up from her chair, and jumps into Ster’s arms. ‘STERLING, I’M GONNA BE THE LEADER OF THE FULL FORCE!!’ Sterling rolls his eyes, and carefully sets down his energetic friend. ‘The full force?’ ‘No, the Full Force. It’s what she’s naming the new rebels.’ Victor finishes making poached eggs, and sets plates down on the table. Shade takes a sip of her Iced Caramel Macchiato, and then takes a bite of the eggs. ‘Mm, this is really good, Vic. Where’d you learn how to make these?’. Victor replied. ‘Oh, just another thing Miss Vanilla taught me. It’s only my fourth time making em’, so I’m pretty good now.’. ‘Yeah, well, maybe she should be taking lessons from you.’. Just then, there’s a knock on the door. Shade gets up and answers. ‘Who’s there?’. ‘Just three Chaotix who heard the big news and are eager to join!’ Shade lets them in, and Gem hugs all of them. They are Espa, Cheem and Cesne. Cheem then exclaims, ‘We brought cake, too!’. ‘Aww, you guys, y’all didn’t have to bribe me with this, I would’ve let you join no matter what!’ See, during this, Shade didn’t know she was adopted. I mean, what else could she think? Her parents are both hedgehogs, and her sister. She just looked a little different from them. Her father and mother are blue and pink, and her sister is purple. Meanwhile, she is dark grey with magenta stripes. Anyways, you could probably tell who Gem’s parents are. But I could tell you who Shade’s parents are. When you find out who both of them are, will you be surprised! Anyhoo, back to the story. . . . . . Fleetway is annoyingly hovering above Sonic’s shoulder in the living room. He is nagging Sonic about how much he wants to go outside and cause some chaos, instead of reading a book with barely any pictures. They were waiting for Gem, Sonic’s daughter. What, you didn’t figure that out yet? Fleetway was eager to meet his niece for the first time. See, Sonic had not let Fleetway out in a very long time. When Fleetway vowed not to kill ever again, Sonic agreed to let him see his niece. Gem was ecstatic, for she was the leader of, a soon to be, Full Force. She would be very chatty, so she would tell Fleetway all about herself. Fleet believed it would be fun to meet someone who wasn’t Sonic or X that he would not kill. Pretty soon, when the two best enemies got to the seventh chapter of Bridge to Terabithia, someone rung the doorbell. Sonic got up to answer, but Fleetway, who was quick as a sea turtle, ran to the door. He looked through the peephole, and saw three hedghogs.
