The Triceratops reaches a small river, in which he begins to swim through the water. Due to his buoyancy, he preforms a 'dog paddle' to swim across the river, using his strong legs to push him through the water. This makes it look more like a trot than an actual swim. This paddle disturbs a resident of the water: a 2.5 meter Champsosaurus. Despite having a strikingly similar appearance to the modern Gharial, he actually belongs to a different classification: Choristodera. His long, narrow jaws are better built for grabbing onto slippery prey like fish, but he will occasionally prey on baby dinosaurs to supplement their diet. However, the Triceratops is simply too big for the Champsosaurus, and the Choristoderian simply swam out of the way of his path.
Creatures in this chapter: Triceratops (Akida) Champsosaurus (Char, character made by @Mackiedoodle1) This is slightly shorter than other chapters lol.
