couldnt fit backstory in the picture so ill just put it here: He lives in a different world, where EVERYTHING is made of food, trees are made of brocoli, oceans made of different beverages or liquids (oj, chocolate sauce, soda) caves made of rock candy. the world's continents are separated by food groups, (like dairy, fruits and veggies, sweets) Coraline lives in the sweets continent, he's an orphan, his parents abandoned him at birth because they didn't want a child. He grew up shy because most kids at the orphanage bullied him, because he wasnt interested in that much. He loved swimming growing up and became very skilled at it when he grew older, she had almost no friends at school, maybe one or two. He still doesnt have that many friends to this day.
