SIGNUPS END JULY 30TH -------------------------------------------- A... Mega Camp???? This project is an explanation of the camp, and how to join. You REALLY should watch the entire explanation before signing up. You aren't required to use an object. Your display name should be your username, or a shortened name that I can refer to you by. The 50 best signups will be added. Find some people you might want to team up with! Any questions? Ask me below. Script - I… dislike object camps. There’s nothing really wrong with them, and by dislike, I mean I don’t like signing up to them, or hosting them, really. Joining them always goes downhill. Most of the time they get canceled, and I never have a motivation to spend time doing the challenge. And no one really does them too often either. I’m very well experienced in hosting camps, as I have hosted around 9 camps. Even if not all of them finished, I definitely know that the majority of your contestants will not do the challenge, even if they signed up to the camp. Thats why I wanted to create a camp that had no “challenges”. Something people could actually participate in without too much work. AND a camp that I wouldn’t have to worry about “screentime” and assets and making episodes. I could just upload an episode where I just explain what happened, and the camp could continue. So it’s not necessarily an “object camp”, instead just being a fun event for anyone to join. So that solves some problems. People will participate, I can make the episodes without too many issues. But how will the camp work? I wanted a camp that relied on strategy and collaboration. A camp where you needed to find your own allies, where a “team” wasn’t simply given to you. A camp where it was almost required to ally with others to get far, and you were still fully capable of betraying them. I needed a simple one, too. If it was too complex, less people would join, obviously. Who would want to join a camp they can’t understand? This was an issue with COH6. There was too much information to process. The camp will have. 50 contestants. It sounds like a lot, but when you really think about it, I’m not going to have to manage 50 assets, 50 objects, equal screentime, or anything. You’ll be referred by your username/nickname, as well as a small icon to represent you in episodes. Every round, there are 2 things you can do. First off, is the main part of the game. Voting. This isnt your usual, whoever gets the most votes leave the show. Your votes will take away people’s points. Everyone starts off with 20 points. If you hit 0, you lose. You can have up to 25 points, and I’ll explain how you can gain points later. Every round, you can vote for 1 person. Your vote will be randomized into 1-10 votes towards that person. Every 2 votes someone receives, they lose a point. So if you rolled a 10, they would end up losing 5 of their points. This is where forming alliances and teams is important. Your team can all vote for the same person, making them lose a ton of points, or even eliminate them altogether. You can’t win this game on your own. But take note, you can’t vote the same person twice in a row. But there’s a chance you can defend a little. Every round, around 25% of the contestants will receive a defense, cutting their point loss in half, if any. Any half points will just be removed. You don’t know who will receive the defense each round, until everyone has already voted. So maybe your alliance plans an attack, but the defense prevents it from doing too much damage. But how do you get points back? Here’s how. Along with voting, theres a 2nd action you can do optionally. I call it, Gamble Grid. Every round we’ll have a new 10x10 grid. Half of the squares will let you gain a point, and the other half you’ll lose 2. There might be a few bonuses in there as well… You have up to 3 attempts each round, so you can pick 0-3 coordinates on the grid, and you’ll gain or lose points accordingly next round. It’s a risk, but it might be worth taking. Every round will have a specific event going on as well. Maybe one round will double the votes. Maybe one round everyone loses a few points. Maybe the Gamble Grid’s rewards and losses are increased. You don’t know, but each round is sure to stir up some chaos. And thats the camp. Team up, get other people out, and climb your way up. To sign up, just remix and fill out the info sheet in the project. I’ll choose 50 people I find to be the best additions to the camp. So sign up! Invite your friends, find an alliance, start your strategy making. It’s every man for themself, so good luck!
