(maybe) expect a second entry soon! slide guide + art commentary [sorry for the rhyme xD] 1) final, filtered version i used lots of filters in pixlr x for the final, such as the blur effect for the background and a bunch of things overall lol 2) rough sketch i used my reference (if you want to see it let me know) and very quickly sketched this out, adding a few details. but it’s mostly very rough because you can’t see anything haha 3) refined sketch/lineart this was before adding any lineart variation, so it looks kind of flat; but i’m really proud of this version :D 4) coloring (+ some tweaks) the coloring was so hard, because i kept checking and finding a bunch of mistakes—plus the LAYERS, wow there was a lot random note but i’m really proud of the rose—i didn’t use a reference but it turned out pretty good! 5) background, text & lighting i was going to use some text like in the original, but i scrapped it since it just didn’t seem right. as you may notice, i changed the tie drastically so it looks cooler xD the background isn’t actually that detailed, it’s just some squares and when blurred it looks sort of okay— congrats for reading through this! i know i probably wouldn’t read this far, so pat yourself on the back ^^ art - me, @gh0stwriter art program used - adobe fresco edits + filters - pixlr x contest & character - @berricake music - original project some tags: #art #contestentry #dityse #drawing #digital #berricakecontest #entry
