Cod's eyes opened slowly. They were in a dark room with many pictures scattered across the floor. The sound of a beating heart echoed through the chamber. They stood up, feeling their paws getting wet. It was then that he realized that his paws were back...! They soon found out that black water was rising up from the ground, covering the photos. Some of the slips of paper washed away and crumbled before Cod could see what they were. "Cod, please! Collect the pictures!" an unfamiliar voice rang out, "It's me, Rose!" Cod tried to remember who 'Rose' was, and couldn't... though the name did sound familiar. "I... we're friends! Don't you remember?" Rose cried, "Don't you remember Prism? A... and me...?" The confused creature did recall who Prism was, but they couldn't figure out who was speaking to them. "I'm White!" the voice yelled, "Now, please collect the pictures! They're your memory!" The sound of the heart became louder and faster, and Cod remembered Rose. Even though they couldn't find out how she was speaking to them, they started gathering the papers. The waves grew higher, but when Cod stuck the photos to the wall above them, the water went down a bit, and there was less liquid to swim through. Getting the memories became easier when the black goo depleted! "Keep sticking them to the wall! Don't let the water cover them!" Rose exclaimed. The beating of the heart got even faster as Cod attached the pictures to the wall. They were more determined now, and they grinned at how much progress they were getting done. As, the last photos were in Cod's paws, the room started to turn into a medium grey. The heartbeat slowed, and they sighed with relief as the last memory was placed on the wall. It showed a young, grey cat running down to the beach. Cod's first memory.
