Credit to @-Rex- for PTE++ ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/ ) FOR REMIX INSTRUCTIONS & RULES, SCROLL DOWN Want to skip to the most recent remix? Try the remix tree: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/708860743/remixtree ===== Minigame Explanation ===== The players have 5 seconds to find a spot on the rows. When the 5 seconds are up, 1 to 5 trams will plow through the rows. If you get run over by a tram, then you're out. Every 5 rounds until round 30, there is a higher chance of more trams appearing. The last player standing wins! New to this summer-edition are the two wave-signs by the pool's sides: slowly & randomly filling their five segments from bottom-to-top, the first sign to completely fill up will launch a wave across the pool from it's side, which'll toss all players & even the tram to different rows in it's wake! Waves can launch at any time; during player movement, tram plowing, or in-between. Hover over a character to see their name. In case the thumbnail appears while the project is running, click/tap it to hide it. ===== Rules ===== 1. Do not add more than 10 characters per remix. 2. You can add music, but do not delete any. 3. Do not modify or delete the Player0 sprite, other users need it to add their characters. 4. Please do not mess up the project. 5. Do not modify the hitboxes, as everyone needs to have the same sized hitbox for a fair game. Changing the sprite size of your player is considered breaking this rule. 6. Do not make your character appear too large, as that'll make things hard to see. 7. Do not add a singular character that appears to be 2 characters (ex: Mario and Luigi as 1 character) unless they are stuck together with no feasible way to physically detach them. 8. You can add characters to the thumbnail, but try not to let it become too crowded. Failure to follow the rules will likely result in an unofficial remix, so make sure to double-check the rules in the Thumbnail's RULE RECAP just before you share the project. ===== How to Add a Character ===== 1. Remix the project. 2. Duplicate the "Player0" sprite. 3. Replace the duplicated sprite's costumes (except for the hitbox and edge-breaker) with your character. It's recommended they wear a swimsuit, as they'll be spending most of the game in a swimming pool. A few tips are written on comments in Player0's sprite. 4. Replace the voice sounds with a voice of your own. If you don't want a voice, mute the voice sounds. 5. Type in your character's name in the section of the custom block that says "Character name:". 6. Type in the seconds-per-swim-frame in the same custom block. Seconds per swim frame indicates how long each frame is. 7. Test the project to make sure everything works. You can add more characters if you want.
@ZYellow told me about some characters in the most recent remix of this chain not having their water lines in a consistent style... and while I'll allow that, I found some errors which I shan't allow, and had to fix! This is just a quick bug-patching remix, so don't expect any major additions. ===== SO WHAT DID I DO? ===== - No new characters added this time, although there have been quite a few changes to other characters in order to fix a few things... -- Removed all the unused sprites that were merely used to import assets into the player sprites (including a backdrop i had left in myself by mistake). --- I also removed the unused variables that had somehow made their way in from Trauma Wheel. -- Redesigned the mouth on Alex's 'CaughtByTram' costume to appear in the BFDI mouth style. I did this because I didn't think ZYellow wouldn't take it well, and while he was OK with it, I did it anyway, if only to lessen inconsistency. -- Removed a stray black line from Isabella's 'CaughtByTram' costume. -- Blobby's water line is still wavy, but I straightened it up a bit more on the bottom and added a fade-in gradient to smoothly transition the colour into the swimming-pool water. -- Repositioned Blobby, Revolt Cat, Cyan-Crystals, and Luckyy (the former only needing non-underwater costumes moved) to align them with the hitbox. Remember: the bottom of the player (usually the water lines) has to be in the centre of the costumes! --- I also made Revolt Cat's arms vanish under the water when they went under. ---- Speaking of underwater, I fixed some issues with Cyan-Crystals and Luckyy's outlines poking through their water lines. - To compensate for me adding no characters in this remix, I decided to add some music instead, all from Spongebob Squarepants: SuperSponge: -- GAMEPLAY MUSIC: Jelly Fields, Fish Hooks Park, Mother Jellyfish, Lonely Souls, Canning Factory -- WINNER JINGLES: Game Over (Spongebob: Supersponge) -- DRAW JINGLES: Game Over (Spongebob: Supersponge) --- Hang on... One jingle fufilling the role of two?! - A few changes to the thumbnail: fixing a minor background colouration error, a major(?) logo error (palm tree leaves overlapping outlines into the middle of the o in 'Trouble'), and grouping Bo. Credit to all, including Sony, Nickelodeon, THQ, Climax Studios, @-nama-, @ZYellow, @-Rex-, and myself. B) I might've also added a small easter egg to the thumbnail. For what it is, I'll say that it cannot be seen with the naked eye. Or fully-dressed eye.
