Description

yea yea ik nobody's gonna see this but I felt like posting something just to let you guys know about s t u f f sorry if this takes a while to load lol, there's a ton of sound files and costumes also sorry if I didn't include your name in my list of friends, it's been a while so I probably forgot a bunch of you guys :'( I feel like I have more stuff to talk about (CWSUP1AM, how I started gaining popularity, etc) but this project was already running longer than I expected and I'm tired atm lol 9/15/23 - looking back, I really want to talk about these, hopefully I can make a project regarding them and some other stuff during winter break or something credit to C418 for all the music, go support him on bandcamp, he deserves it and yes I know my code's inefficient but wHateVeR Script: Heyyy everybody, it’s me, DreadfireX. It’s been a while, huh? Sorry for doing almost nothing for the past year - I’ve been busy, and I’ve pretty much lost my motivation to make projects. I have been loving and fav-ing the occasional project, maybe updating some project descriptions of mine, but aside from that, I’ve been entirely inactive. I don’t feel like I’ll ever truly come back to Scratch and make projects at the rate I did when I first joined. Unless I decide to pursue coding as a career or something, I’ll probably really only stick to releasing projects like this - and maybe the occasional game? I’m not entirely sure what my schedule may look like over the next few years. If I have any free time, I promise I’ll try my best to check back here once in a while. Even though two years isn’t very long in the grand scheme of things, the time when I was most active (which was two years ago) feels like it was forever ago. It’s now that I appreciate Scratch’s ability to be a time capsule - it’s very easy to look back and see exactly what my brain was thinking and creating at the time. Most of my projects seem rather cringe to me now of course, but I must say I am pretty impressed by what I was able to do in some of them. Take, for example, Pixl, that pixel art thingy I got too overambitious about. Even though I never really fleshed it out into a full project, it definitely had potential. I had plans for it to be like a mini art making-and-sharing platform. Obviously, that was… a bit of an overestimation of my abilities, and I only got as far as making the drawing part. But to be honest, that was a feat in and of itself. Even now, I think it’s pretty impressive I was able to accomplish what I did. Then, of course, there were my, uh, less than optimal projects, like the trig functions tutorial. It had good intentions, but u r g. Looking back now, I could’ve done a lot better lol. It’s time I talked about my most popular project: Robot Constructor Overpowered. It’s probably the only reason I have over 300 followers. I’m not entirely sure how it got so popular: it’s not one of the first remixes of KIKOKO_s project or anything, I think it's the 22nd remix or something. Someone did remix it and get on trending with that project, so that’s most likely a large factor, but even before that, my project was performing incredibly well. Perhaps it’s something to do with keywords? It is the second result if you search “robot constructor” after all. Either way, it’s very cool to think that over 15k people clicked on a link to something I shared, and I can’t thank all of you enough. Speaking of thanks, I have to thank all the friends I made here on Scratch for, well, inspiring me. People like codingkid75, combatkaya, coderpuppy2018, Tellidisk077, BridgeCreek, MoonBeam98, -OceaniaGamesTV-, -Obelisk-, Tongwei_HU, PupZero, and so many others who helped me create so many happy memories. Scratch has overall got to be one of my most memorable experiences online, all thanks to each and every one of you. I’ll, uh, stop before this gets too mushy, but I really do sincerely mean this: thank you all, from the bottom of my heart. With that, I shall bid you all a fond farewell. I promise I’ll check back here once in a while :). Cya!
