Instructions

yama || fanart/anatomy practice press space for the thumbnail which is a better closeup! > I feel a great way to motivate yourself to practice anatomy is to use your favorite characters... otherwise it can get really boring really fast, but it's not so bad if you use it as an excuse to draw ̶a̶b̶s̶ your favorite characters [ and then simp ]. If you need to practice, just draw someone like Yama who is consistently canonically shirtless because he's particularly good at wrecking them this was made with anatomy for sculptors - understanding the human figure by uldis zarins, it was really handy, it has great diagrams for all sorts of poses, etc. it's just really handy, you don't even have to get that one but anatomy books are really great!! if you don't mind all the serratus anterior and latissimus dorsi (saw muscle and broadest muscle of the back. yes, I actually memorized some of them) muscular people are definitely the hardest kind of people to draw for the reasons just stated interesting composition for this too ig...? idk tbh I rarely draw fullbodies, but one can't run from feet forever. at least realistic hands weren't a thing thanks to his transformation everyone should read tog btw yama is slightly annoying to draw though just based on sheer volume of hair it took a while to render also sorry for lack of posts recently, but i've been working on something bigger... a plan for 2k, perhaps :) if I do hit that (hopefully since i'm literally 1 away) something will come... #art
