Happy Birthday ceebee. Thank-you for everything that you do for Scratch! ----------------------- This project is an animation from Put Your Face Here https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/701373155/ Use that project to video scan and add your own face. If you want to change the colours or face in this project read the Extra Notes section below. ----------------------------------------------- * Below are the instructions for the Put Your Face Here project for scanning faces and adjusting colours. STEP 1 - SCAN OR SELECT FACE =========================== Put your face (from chin to the top of your forehead and not including your ears) in the centre cutout. Look directly at your camera! Press <Space> to Scan (scans take less than 2 secs) You can scan again for a better picture. or use keys <1> to <4> for a preloaded face picture. STEP 2 - ADJUST FACE COLOURS FOR PICTURES ========================================= Press Button 2 to Colour Adjust Face in Pictures Use the sliders to adjust the face colour, saturation and brightness for each picture. Use colours 0-100 to select a single colour for a face, -1 for the original face colours or 101 for black & white. It usually helps to increase the saturation to start colour matching then adjust the saturation again. Note that the Saturation Change slider has no effect for a black and white picture. A picture with no colour is drawn with saturation = 0. Different faces work best with different colour adjusts. STEP 3 - VIEW COLLAGES & ANIMATIONS ================================== Just watch. EXTRA FEATURES =============== 1. If you want to keep your current scan picture and not worry about pressing <space> and overwriting it: "See inside" the project and click on the code fragment in the first sprite "set Face Scan Fixed Forever = true". Save or remix the project to keep the change. - Similarly if you want to keep your colour adjustments, click on the code fragment "set Colour Adjusts Fixed Forever = true" and save or remix the project. - You can undo the above changes by clicking the code fragment that sets the variables to false again. 2. If you don't have a camera on your device, you can add a face in the "White Background" costume and size it so that it fits inside the face cutout. The scanner will then scan this face. 3. If you want to use your own face pictures, the last sprite inside the project explains how to make and size your own pictures for the project. The project will automatically use any costume added to the "Cutout Surrounds" sprite. Camera Problems ============== If your camera works in other programs but not in Scratch, check that your computer settings and your browser settings do not block Scratch from accessing the camera.
