The Avistoni are a proud people who've endured the cold, barren lands of the North for many generations. The Imperium Avistonum is an ambitious nation, aimed towards claiming more fertile lands to the South. The Avistoni once lived together with the Solarians in unity. They were a prosperous, long-established civilization settled on a bountiful land (the name of this original civilization is lost to time). However, as the land grew cold, the Solarians, following the leadership of Talib, migrated, while the Avistoni, following the leadership of Talib's brother Tatius [tey-shuh s] (now regarded as the first Imperator), refused to leave their homeland. Thus, with differing ideologies and separate leaderships, the groups separated, and animosity grew between these once unified people; the Solarians regard the Avistoni as stubborn dissidents, while the Avistoni believe the Solarians are weak, faithless deserters. After many generations of enduring this unforgiving land, the nation, under the rule of the 25th Imperator, is well-established and beginning to shift its efforts towards expansion. The Imperium Avistonum and Solaria are currently at peace, but animosity still persists. The Imperium Avistonum hope to one day conquer the "treacherous" Solarians, bringing the once unified people back under one nation, under one ruler: the Imperator.
