The sun was setting, making a distinct reflection on the icy water. She liked where she was, I mean, she would not want to change it for the world, but she sometimes felt, well, lonely. All she had was herself, nature, the sea and the fishes, they rarely came anymore, it was as if even they had turned their backs on her. She longed all her life to find, well, someone to love, someone to call hers. The sun had hid behind the rocky cliffs, all was turning dark and stars started to appear, painting the horizon in white, sparkly dots. Then the moon appeared, shining a ghostly light on everything below. Then she remembered, the man on the moon... even he would go away too.. Then, a star, a bright one, shot across the sky like a blazing rocket, a beacon of hope! ' I wish.. I wish I could share this island with someone else, to swim the great seas with me and to explore the unknown! Please, I beg of you.. ' She got up, stretching and padded to a grassy patch below a tree and closed her eyes, letting the force of sleep send her into darkness. She opened her eyes, she was in the water. The shock of the cold made her stiffen and the air was knocked out of her. She gasped before falling, she was paralyzed as if she was frozen in ice. Bubbles of air escaped as she suddenly felt her eyes closing. Then, before she managed to close them fully, she saw a feint image of many cats staring back at her, one of the swam towards her and grasped her shoulders, pulling her up. They whispered, ' Your never alone, we watch you every hour of every day. ' As she saw the light she felt a happy sensation welling up in her heart and then she felt her head above water. She opened her eyes, back in her patch of grass. She smiled and bounded towards the water, the sun shining bright. She leapt into the water, it was, for once, warm. She swam, the fishes followed her, dolphins leapt in the distance. In fact she even saw feint ghostly frames of many cats swimming with her. Rivera leapt into the air, she felt as if she touched the sun. The words rang in her head. ' You are not alone ' And then she thought she heard the same voice she heard in her dream. ' We are always with you. ' Awh. She is such a bean!! :> I hope my weird little cat/otter story is not too cringy Thanks for reading until the end!! :DD
