Intensities may be a bit off. Sandy was the eighteenth named storm of the 2012 Atlantic Hurricane Season. After passing the Bahamas, Sandy collided with a cold front which allowed it to develop further. As a result, it brought disastrous consequences to New England and the Mid-Atlantic states of the USA. A total of 154 deaths were caused in New York from Sandy alone. Sandy caused over 60 billion dollars in property damage and killed 233 people in total. The name was retired in the Spring of 2013 and was replaced by 'Sara'.
