*points to the snakes* dumb Their name means, “head of the snake charmer" in Arabic. It's also the name of a star. I thought it was fitting. If you look closely, you can find the draco, leo, ophiuchus, and gorgonea tertia constellations on them! ^^
RASALHAGUE "GORGON" BOWSPRITFLARE, THE SECOND Rasalhague was born into a hamlet deep in the sea of Vulpes' tears. They were the youngest of her family, with an older brother, sister, and two loving fathers. Raised valuing companionship and family, they have always appraised her company more than any material assets, whether that be florins or all the riches they could ever hope for. While far from rich in the material sense (in fact, she grew up rather the opposite), Rasalhague was surrounded by the most wonderful family she could have asked for. That all ended when she started her new job (as a new adult) as a journalist for a small, obscure newspaper. Her family was gathered back at their childhood home for her brother and sister-in-law's baby shower. Rasalhague was running a bit late after working a few hours of unpaid overtime after a change in management. When they got home, she was left with a scene that would haunt them for years... Rasalhague doesn't like to talk about the tragedy that took her family's lives or the glimpse of that hynde she caught slipping away with all of her eighteen eyes. But if any good came out of that terrible day, it would be her new steeled determination to never let this happen to anyone else. Even if sometimes when they lay in bed and dream, she can swear they can hear the joyous laughter of her nephew they never knew or will get to know and the bright smiles of her parents, and the folk songs their sister used to sing her. Leaving her job at the paper with not so much as a word, Rasalhague left her destroyed home in the rural sea in favor of the land-bound cities of beautiful Auroninne to train to become a faithful knight. They consider it a coincidence that she became a general, let alone the general of the second army—especially since she didn't choose this life for the glory. Rasalhague considers herself a faithful servant to the crown and the public and a hand of justice. They are an ambitious workhorse, staying awake for days on end with rest until she works they pass out from over-exhaustion (which they already have a predisposition to due to their innate). They are normally a quiet hynde, too busy with her studious undertakings and training her knights. But when she does, Rasalhague only engages in conversation when there is a reason or a snarky comment or joke to be made. Despite her all-business demeanor, Rasalhague is quite a down-to-earth, friendly hynde, if not a bit distrusting and standoffish. Despite all her hard work and unforgiving job, Rasalhague does let it spoil her temperature. Their snakes betray their emotions too. Rasalhague's main face has a good poker face, but that snakes do not, lmao Rasalhague may not hear all or know all, but they see all with her eight pairs of eyes; they are a treasure trove of secrets just waiting to be broken into. And all their bitter rage lies dormant for now, but Rasalhague won't rest until the head of the hynde that wronged her family is sitting upon her mantle. But even then, they couldn't sit contently and rest knowing another family may still be suffering. Notes on their innate: Rasalhague cannot turn people into stone and the snakes are not venomous. The snakes lack the ability to speak and, for the most part, exhibit the same personality. (Also, also, they gave themself that heart-shaped scar as a reminder to herself to love themself :) )
