I've always had a fascination with these dresses so I decided to make a small maker for them. I really wanted to add patterns, but I felt like making a set of patterns for each individual item would get hectic and laggy. (not to mention take an unreal amount of time) According to Wikipedia, "The cheongsam ... is a body-hugging one-piece Chinese dress for women, also known in Mandarin Chinese as qipao ... and Mandarin gown in English. The stylish and often tight-fitting [dress] ... was created in the 1920s in Shanghai and made fashionable by socialites and upper class women."
