cover art for smth real cool <3 - - - ➸ notes: hey everyone! i am very excited to be sharing this project, as it has smth to do with my very talented + cool bestie Zak :DD <333 i was so honored to be asked to draw cover art for his new track release, "Losing Myself", and EP, "Neo2k"!! i highly recommend checking out his other music on sound[delete]cloud:(https://sound[delete]cloud.com/zxphyrvii) anyways, press space to check out the two pieces i drew, click + hold to zoom! i'll talk abt each cover art piece down below :D i hope you like this Zak!! i worked incredibly hard on these pieces + am very proud how they turned out! <3333 - - - ➸ "Losing Myself" man, i had so much fun working w/ different effects on this one! i've only just started using another website for blur effects, but now i've added Kleki + a new font generator! the idea was to have Zak's oc, Neptune, be falling, as well as crying as this is a more emotional song. i decided for it to be nighttime, as that's usually when it's quiet and serene, as well as conveying a sense of loneliness, which matches the title, "Losing Myself"! i also chose an arrangement of navy, purple and pink to contrast from Neptune's blue/orange look - thus making him the main point of attention! the glowing effects as well as the nighttime sky gives off a sort of vibe that feels kind of outer space-esque/futuristic, which i find nicely corresponds to the genre of music Zak produces!! ➸ "Neo2k" i'm super proud of how this turned out!! i don't normally draw citylife so this was a fun challenge haha. i found that orange contrasts with aqua/teal nicely, and gives off that futuristic vibe too! the idea was to have Neptune be looking out on a rooftop at a city, but there was also another idea of him in an alley looking at a neon city. i wanted to kind of incorporate both of those ideas, so Neptune appears to be placed in a dark, shadowed place with a railing, looking at a neon city! - - - ➸ credits: art: @-Bloomii- code (zoom): @Colorsnatch song: Hot Milk - Snail's House (slowed) oc showcased: @Zak-A-Tack (Neptune) cover art ideas/track + album name: @Zak-A-Tack programs used: ➸ Scratch (98%) ➸ Kleki (clouds, editing) ➸ CoolText (glowing words) * please do not remix, trace, or steal, thank you :) - - - ➸ note to Zak: you are such a kind-hearted, understanding, generous (AND genuine), crazy talented person to be around. i mean just talking to you, i know that you are genuinely interested in what i have to say!! i've been friends with you for a little over 3 years, and i'm so grateful to have a bestie like you - i wish the best in life + God's blessings to you bestie!! <333333 for best quality, i suggest going into the actual sprite + exporting the costume there - there's also a sprite called "process" if you wanna see some extracted pieces of the art :D
