(TW: HUMAN TESTING, CHARACTER DEATH, ABUSIVE RELATIONSHIPS) okkk so flora was created in a lab under the name midsummer by some scientists working for bowser, created as an ultimate weapon to try and conquer the mushroom kingdom (it's bowser, what do you expect), but there was a problem. she was defective. she didn't want to be a weapon, she just wanted to make friends. so she was tested on multiple times, each time being worse than the last. eventually, flora couldn't take it anymore, so using the abilities she was given, she broke free and killed the scientists, including the main scientist, simon firestone, who was a father figure to her. she didn't really MEAN to kill them buuuuut she did, and she regrets her decision to this day. she was very young (about 10 years old) so when she went into the world on her own, it was scary for her. so skip like 9 years in the future, and flora (about 19 at this time) eventually found a dude named raven and she fell in love with him. raven "liked" her back, and so they started dating. little did flora know, raven was actually extremely manipulative, but she thought it was normal because she hadn't been in a relationship before. so flora lived this way for about a year, before meeting some people who told her that it was an abusive relationship, so she broke up with raven. raven got angry and threatened to kill flora, but using her abilities, she was able to stun him and run away. so she ran before encountering none other than BOWSER. flora had known about what bowser had been doing to the mushroom kingdom, and she was MAD that bowser had tried using her, so she attacked him. bowser fought back, and they battled. neither side really won, but flora was hit with a sort of virus, which was supposed to correct her. thus creating midsummer (og name was flora x-type but that's boring).
