Instructions

Credit to @-Rex- for PTE++ ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/ ) --- FOR REMIX INSTRUCTIONS, RULES, AND MINIGAME ADVICE, SCROLL DOWN --- Want to quickly get to the most recent remix? Click here: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/700417485/remixtree --- MINIGAME RULES --- Let’s play Block Party! Here’s how you play: There are 16 blocks and you roam around until you stop to confirm a block of your choice. When everyone chose their blocks, you’ll be locked into place and the game will choose one block to disappear. If you’re on the disappearing blocks, you fall off and you're out! If you’re the last one standing, you win! Good luck! --- RULES --- (don't break them) Be sure to follow these rules or your remix will be declared UNOFFICIAL! @Redshell3, @whatsmydiamond, @BarryFans, @laithkablan234, @ZYellow, @Twin138956Scratch, @Kyle3912Again, @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop, and @OisinFan62 can break these rules without their remixes becoming UNOFFICIAL. (!) Only @BarryFans can break these rules (?) These rules break the Community Guidelines (O) These rules are optional Nobody else can break these rules. 1: Don't ruin the project (!) 2: Don't break the community guidelines (?) 3: Don't make your character tiny or giant, that will make it hard to see 4: Don't delete ANYTHING unless someone is having trouble remixing due to too much data or they break rule 3 5: Don't steal OCs and put them in this project (?) 6: Don't modify anything, unless if you know what you're doing. 7: (O) Be sure to credit to @-Rex- for Pen Text Engine++. --- HOW 2 REMIX --- Want to add a character to this game? Follow these instructions carefully to get them in: 1. Scroll down below these instructions & read the rules! DON'T proceed until you've done this! 2. Click the green "Remix" button at the top-right corner (duh) 3. Create a duplicate of the "Player Template" sprite, and follow the instructions I put in. 4. Create your character! Replace every costume in the duplicated sprite EXCEPT for the "Screen-Cheat" and "Hitbox" costumes with your character, replace all "Voice" sound clips with your character's voice & set their name. 5. Test your project &, if you like the result, either continue to add more characters or share it! BONUS: You're also allowed to add characters to the thumbnail & add more music tracks/winner jingles/draw jingles/get ready jingles. 6. Before you share your project, PLEASE make sure that you credit @-Rex- for the Pen Text Engine++! If you don't want to type their username, here's a template that you can copy and paste: Credit to @-Rex- for Pen Text Engine++ ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/ ). --- ADVICE --- Like with Colors of Fate, try to be VERY specific that you chose that color or else you're toast. (burnt toast)

Description

It's been a long, long time since my characters have participated in an AY-minigame, wherever one by me or by somebody else! I likely wouldn't have remixed, hadn't a comment on my profile from @BarryFans implied he'd love to see it. While I was overtaken by another remix chain due to taking two days to complete this, this chain doesn't have any low-effort players (yet) & some quality updates. Might readd everything I've added onto the main remix chain in a second remix... In future I should prepare my player assets in advance. - Introducing Walburt and Ripley, making this the first AY-minigame to use their updated vectorizations! I know Walburt's walk-cycle uses his Side angle, but I wanted to try something different. -- Unfortunately, due to my microphone appearing to have lowered in quality when recording on Scratch, I had to rerecord ALL of their voice-clips anew to prevent quality disprecancies. --- Also... Recently I've been feeling that I may not be cut out for a job in voice-acting. When I'm reading from a script & making a voice at the same time, even if it's in my mind, I just find it so hard to keep the tone of my voice sounding natural, and I feel as if don't put much emotion into the performances most of the time. ---- Actually, there might be some other categories of voice-acting I'd be more suited to... Ones which use my regular tone of voice. - Speaking of voices... Ember's voice has been replaced using his voice-clips from "Big Blast!" due to @ZYellow feeling discomfort over him using ZYella's voice. (i've had to correct a mismatched voice of his in the past, when he shared AMIR's voice of all people) - Rerecorded Randal's Despair voice myself to sound less like Paul's 'Defeat!' voice-clip slowed down. I did it myself due to thinking that there may be something preventing @BarryFans from recording the growl himself. -- If my microphone on Scratch ever turns high-quality again, I may rerecord this voice in a higher quality. - Added the names of the colours onto the blocks, to assist the colour-blind viewers of this project. - More music tracks! Would've added more if not for time constraints. -- GAMEPLAY: A Rare Minigame, Without a Care (Mario Party 7) -- DRAW: It's a Draw (Mario Party 4) - In the case of a DRAW, all players now wait a random amount of seconds before saying their "Draw" voice. This way, it'll no longer be a gobbledy-gook flood of voices all at once (although other voiceclip-floods still remain) -- If you want to port this change over to other remixes, make sure to add a 'wait (pick random [0] to [3.5]) seconds' block just before the 'stop other scripts in sprite' block on the Draw broadcast for each and every player. This can also be applied to their 'Delight' and 'Despair' animations, if you want. (don't forget the player template, and try not to misplace any code... a misplacement mistake like that was what caused the green-shell softlock of Trauma Wheel: Summer Edition) - Added a credit to @-Rex- for PTE++ at the top of the project instructions, in case anyone forgets to put it in the notes & credits. This means both Rule #7 & Step #6 of HOW 2 REMIX are no longer needed, but I've kept them anyway just in case. Credit to all, including @-Rex- ( https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/406678232/ ) @BarryFans, @ZYellow, @OisinFan62, and @Burgnew_On_A_Laptop!
