They deserve to celebrate :D Here are some BTS things you have to know (even if you don't stan): BTS, also known as Bangtan Boys, is an acronym for the Korean expression "Bangtan Sonyeondan" (which means Bulletproof Boy Scouts) and also stands for "Beyond the Scene" as part of their new identity. ARMY, BTS's fandom, stands for Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth. The 7 Members of BTS: RM's real name is Kim Namjoon (rapper, leader of BTS) Jin's real name is Kim Seokjin (sub vocalist) J-Hope's real name is Jung Hoseok (rapper, main dancer) Suga's real name is Min Yoongi (lead rapper) V's real name is Kim Taehyung (vocalist) Jimin's real name is Park Jimin (lead vocalist, main dancer) Jungkook's real name is Jeon Jeongguk (main vocalist) Current Ages and Birthday Dates (oldest to youngest): Jin: Born on December 4, 1992. 29 years old. BTS wasn't going to be named "BTS". They produce their own music. J-Hope was a street dancer. BTS's company is Big Hit Entertainment. Auditions for BTS started in 2010 and the members were finalized in 2012. BTS was nominated for 475 awards and has won 315 of them. BTS jumps around with their music topics, and aren't afraid to sing about personal things. Their first ever TV performance in the United States was at the 2017 American Music Awards. BTS's third full-length album, “Love Yourself: Tear,” landed on the number one spot in the Billboard 200 -- it's first of five albums to achieve this feat.
