>MORE STUFF ABOUT AFRICAN WILD DOGS< ~Status: Endangered About 6600 individuals left. ~Scientific name: Lycaon Pictus Another name some people call them is Painted Dog, and African Hunting Dog. ~Habitat: Sub-Saharan Africa Their largest populations can be found in Botswana, Zimbabwe, Namibia, Zambia, Tanzania, and Mozambique. ~Diet: Carnivore They prefer to eat antelope but will also eat Wildebeest, Warthogs, Birds, and rodents. ---- BEHAVIOR ---- African wild dogs live in packs, they are lead by a monogamous breeding pair. Females can have litters of up to 20 pups! These dogs are also incredibly social, They have been known to take care of sick or injured pack mates.
