(I LITERALLY JUST LEARNED ABOUT THIS TODAY, DONT TRUST ME TO BE AN EXPERT.) "Auto Save Disabled (Insufficient Memory) The stability of this application is significantly reduced." Ever see this notification when using FireAlpaca? This happens when you've used up a lot of FireAlpaca's memory drawing or animating. It sucks. As you can see, all that remains of my art in the fit to window zoom size is but a few lines. I didn't erase a crap at that point yet for that frame. If you receive this notification you may experience: -Weird issues with zooming in/out -Autoplay in animation mode not working right -Lines disappearing (THEY ARE STILL THERE, ITS OK) -High chance of crashing (I didn't crash but this is kinda a given) Don't worry though. The file is still completely able to be saved and shouldn't affect FireAlpaca in the long run. You can still save. (But it may not respond for a bit and also take longer to save) What causes this though? What causes the memory to drain? Well from researching a bit (THIS MAY NOT APPLY TO APPLE COMPUTERS), if you have the 32bit version of FireAlpaca, it only has 3gb of ram. Having a bunch of layers, multiple artworks and animations open with lots of layers for each one, and using autoplay often. All these combined gave me my error message. How can I prevent this to make sure FireAlpaca keeps running as normal? -If you're animating and it has TONS of layers (mine had 138-), make sure that is the only art open in FireAlpaca. Save and close anything else. -Make sure you have the latest version. This may not help the memory, but it will help since you have the most stable and up-to-date version. -Cut any animations into multiple files if you need to. Say you have 12 frames. (your pc should be able to handle 12 frames in one file, I'm just using an example) You could have 2 separate files with 6 frames in each. Is this permanent? No. Let me explain what it means to have low memory. Your computer has a RAM, which contains the memory. If you go over the RAM, your memory becomes low. And you have to stop some of what you're doing to get back down to the RAM limit. In this case, I went over FireAlpaca's RAM of 3 GB, unbeknownst to me. So yeah. If you get this notification on FireAlpaca (and I also assume it's similar for Medibang since it's FireAlpaca's sibling program), don't panic. Ask any questions in the comments, will answer the best I can. ^^ Oh and also correct me if anything was wrong.
