Description

Credit to @Jacobkenndey (microgame idea and sprites) and @AidanMaherVGCP90 (idea of TV stage). Another overdue microgame. But again, better late than never. This one was actually fun, and wouldn't have taken me too long to make. Well, until schoolwork, projects, and finals jump in. They've been ending, but I'm set to go on a trip immediately after finals end. Needless to say, I won't be able to be reached after Friday, June 3rd, for at least a week. I really liked the control-changing ideas, but seeing those boxes gave me a game-changing idea. At least @Jacobkenndey approves of it. Anyway, here's a list: - Support for speed up to 2.5. - Theme of backdrops and sprites is now a dull green rather than græy. - BG has a bit more stuff, like a ground and lines whenever there are boxes. - Jacob is now a silhouette, reminiscent of Mr. Game & Watch. - Jacob also has a walking and winning animation. - All levels now use both controls, with the keys always used to move Jacob. - Level 1 is essentially the original Level 3, with a crusher and a (literal) bug in the safe spot. - Level 2 has the two boxes with a gap in the middle large enough to fit in. There is a flag at one end as the win condition. Jacob can also spawn on either side. - Level 3 uses the crusher with two boxes, one of which is in the safe spot and the other is nearby, with a gap too small to fit in. - The boxes are redesigned, and are now affected by gravity, though they can only move vertically. - The crusher is redesigned, and descends to the rhythm and with audio cues rather than gradually. - The bug was tweaked slightly, and now has a death animation. - Sounds are taken from the Google Chrome dino game or modified drastically. - Arrows now appear, indicating to interact with the keys or mouse-controlled elements. - Made a chiptune-like tune at 120 BPM. [BEGIN DEVELOPER NOTE] Don't integrate this into AidanWare, mainly due to being reserved for the hypothetical JacobWare that is becoming more and more of a reality. To integrate this into a full project, the following must be done: - Import these as normal: the sprite, the backdrops, the music, the broadcast script, and the practice menu costumes. - Add the microgame ID to the list of long microgames. - Add the microgame ID to the list of both-controls microgames. - Import the commands into Action 2, along with their script as shown. - Import the 1 extra [Improvise. Adapt. Overcome.] script in Stage. [FINISH DEVELOPER NOTE]
