Instructions

my newest oc hehe inspired heavily by overgrown garden by beetlebug, the song featured in this project Rayla | 14 | demigender (specifically demigirl but this picrew didn't have the demigirl flag), she/it | pan *storytelling mode activate* Once upon a time there was an island named Roselodge. The island was named after the first people to come to the island, who'd been immigrants fleeing danger. Their boat was wrecked, and happened to wash up on the island. The only survivors of the wreck were a couple and their newborn daughter. They built a house, which they named Roselodge, and lived there for the rest of their days. The daughter built a boat and spent her life traveling to the country they'd been fleeing to rescue people and take them to her home. Before long, there was a small village, and people were immigrating there to live, not just because they needed rescue. Soon, a city arose. A long time passed. Roselodge was a relatively well-known city for such a small island. They were quite modern yet so isolated. And somewhere in this city, a girl named Rayla was growing up. She lived with its parents in an apartment that was filled with plants and music. At least, most of the time. Her father worked as a merchant, exporting things to and from Roselodge. When he came home, he demanded silence and relaxation, neither of which seemed to involve Rayla. Its mother, on the other hand, was a nurse at the hospital. She was often tired at the end of the day, but always kind to her daughter. One day, Rayla's mother fell sick. She had leukemia, which is cancer of the blood. Unfortunately, the hospital was unable to save her. Rayla's father came home and was forced to find a new job that allowed him to spend more time at home. He became a fisherman, a job he hated and was constantly blaming Rayla for. In fact, it seemed like anything that went wrong was Rayla's fault. The only time he praised her was when it got good grades. Therefore, Rayla assumed, if she worked really hard and didn't do anything wrong, maybe he would love it more. She tried really hard and ended up ruining its relationships in her frantic attempt, but only managed to end up friendless and still unloved. One day, Rayla's father woke it up very early in the morning and told her to pack a change of clothes, something small of sentimental value and all the money it had in her backpack. He took her to his boat and put her in a small crate. Thus, he was able to smuggle it from Roselodge to America and abandon her once they were there. Rayla was put in foster care, which wasn't too bad. The worst part was being new everywhere and not really having friends. Oh well. This was all because of her not being good enough for its father, so it was her punishment, and it deserved this... ...right? ...please tell me I'm right please
