Instructions

This project is a work in progress... Levels are generated using a level map made out of solid-colored squares, with each row being scanned by a sprite containing costumes for multiple tile types and each square being stamped with a particular costume that corresponds with its color. The result is a project allowing you to easily create various levels that will populated with a variety of different tiles. This portion of the project can, for the most part, be credited to the work of CALGUS13. My major addition/customization to this project is the feature of a playable character with multiple animations who can dig tunnels into the ground, where treasure can be collected and rocks will block his path. As he digs through the earth, the character also leaves a dark tunnel in his path. Additionally, different sound effects will play depending on whether or not a tile must be dug to travel over it or if it is obstructed. Features I plan to add include: -Points for the different types of treasures -Multiple levels of increasing difficulty -TNT power-up to destroy rocks -Grappling hook power-up to climb upward -Gravity to cause treasures/rocks to fall into empty tunnels below -Enemies that will move through tunnels if disturbed -New tile types
