The bus was quiet besides the sound of rain and tires crunching on the pavement. He drifts into thought as he examines the card. Tears fill his eyes as memories flood his mind. Suddenly an unfamiliar voice broke the ongoing silence. "Excuse me-" the girl starts. "AAH" Zavier yells as he slightly jumps in his seat. The girl tenses at his reaction. After a few moments, she lets out a sigh. She realizes she had been holding her breathe. "Aah, sorry I didn't mean to startle you!" Her calm voice made Zavier relax. "Oh- Uh- It's ok." Zavier says nervously. "Mind if I sit here?" She asks gesturing to the seat next to him. "I don't mind." He says with a smile. Zavier wonders why she would sit next to him, since most of his town thinks he is weird for being a human goat hybrid. She sits next to him as he puts the card away. "Hi! I'm Ellis!" She exclaims reaching out her hand. "Uh-Hello! I'm Zavier." He awkwardly shakes her hand. "Soo.. I haven't seen you before, are you new around here?" Zavier asks, trying to start a conversation. "Yeah! My family just moved here!" She explains. "I'm excited for tomorrow, it'll be my first day at this school." Zavier looks down, uneasy. "Yeah... It's a great school-" he starts. There was a long pause between them. Ellis glares at him. "I'm guessing you get bullied?..." Zavier glances at her. "Heh, yeah. How could you tell?" "Well, it's not everyday you see a hybrid goat human-" They both giggle. They chat until the bus stops. "Oop, this is my stop." Ellis grabs her phone and begins to walk away. "So, uh, wanna hang out this weekend? I could invite some of my friends. We could all go to the arcade or something." She asks, standing in the isle. "Sure! Sounds like fun!" He exclaims as he fills with excitement. They exchange numbers so they can keep in contact. >Explanation of art piece: Time skip< • After a while Zavier and Ellis became really close friends. Ellis and her friends would hang out with Zavier almost everyday after school (and over the weekends.) Their favorite thing to do was play video games, especially Minecraft. In the picture there is a game controller and a flower. The flower is from Zavier, because he likes ❀flowers❀. (Aah sorry this was kinda rushed.)
