Description

This game works best when downloaded. To deactivate a cheat, type in that code with a / in front of it (e.g. /code). I'll give out a hint on how to get one of the cheats once I reach 5 love-its. --------------------------------------------------- INSTRUCTIONS: Use the arrow keys to race your marble around the track to the finish line. If you slide off onto the grass, it will slow you down. What's your best lap time? What's your best three-lap race time? HOW IT WORKS: The marble has variables for its x and y velocities. The arrow keys make it accelerate by changing the velocities. The grass slows you down by multiplying the velocities by a fraction. ADDITIONS FROM EXAMPLE VERSION: I added checkpoints so that players won't cheap out the timer by sitting at the finish line. I also added barriers, and three new tracks from sproutgiant's "Marble Racer Extended Edition." http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/sproutgiant/51188 In this remix, there's 2-player compatibility so that you can race against your friends on the same computer. Plus, there are cheat codes in this version. =DDDDD (If you want to try the cheat-code free version here's the link: http://scratch.mit.edu/projects/vortex19/664488 THINGS TO TRY: * Make your own tracks by drawing a new background. Just use the same shade of green for the grass. * Make a new costume for the ball. * Make obstacles (even moving obstacles!) that slow you down or stop you, or ramps that speed you up. * Make a "try this course again" or a "try another course" button so you don't have to press the green flag to try again. --------------------------------------------------- P.S. Feel free to extend my version further or use any of my scripts and sprites, just remember to give credit to me! ;-) P.P.S. All the courses go counterclockwise, like the blue arrows show on the first two courses. P.P.P.S. The ball must touch the finish line in order for the lap to count. P.P.P.P.S. Feel free to post your times and your fastest lap times or splits and which cheats you had enabled.
