Hello everyone I guess this is a throwback project (I used to do something like this up until December-ish) Kind of a pause from me working on a Meta thing bc I had a sudden urge to make an Agent Maine thingy. So. I have a story to tell Grab some popcorn, you'll need it. /hj Anyways, let's start from the beginning. Finals for my school are, uh, from when I'm typing this, today and yesterday (it's past midnight-). Yesterday (Wednesday) was the first day of our finals. I was lucky and had both my finals then (we have to take at least 2 at my school), which is why I'm on summer break now. On Monday, there was final reviews and they went over expectations for before, during, and after taking finals. Before you had to take your final, you had to go into the gym for supervision. After you took your final (or finals), you were allowed and expected to leave the building/wait in the lobby area. They wanted you out of the school, basically. Well. I have some very... *bold* friends to put in most positive terms. There's a Chipotle near my school, probably about a 5 minute walk. And now that I mention Chipotle, you probably know what I'm about to say. But before I say yes. From what I understand (and what one of them told me outside of school), they were gonna leave early and go. But then they were slowed down by another kid who went with them. Um so, they walked to Chipotle to get food I had woken up late (on accident) so I got to the school at the time they left. My dad and I saw them walking on the sidewalk as we were pulling up and I said "Wait, is that [insert names]?" I didn't get to chase them down or anything because even though I'm apparently VERY fast (according to my track team-) 1. I was worried that I was going to be late for my final and 2. I was wearing skinny jeans- active runner's worst nightmare. But despite that I wish I did, but there's always a chance they would have dragged me into it I shrugged it off, and maybe around 20 or so minutes after I started my first final, there was announcement for one of them to report to the office ASAP Y'know how when that happens people joke about that person being in trouble? Well okay for that specific person, whenever they go to the office or are pulled out of class I freak out (for reasons I will have remain confidential) but for some reason I didn't this time and made that joke in my head and carried on with my final (which is reasonable ig) I didn't think much about it. That is, until I had to go to the gym and wait for my next one. I sat down next to two of my friends (from another group), and the first thing that came out of their mouths was: "Did you hear about what happened?" Me: No... What happened? Friend 1: [Insert names] got in huge trouble. Apparently [front desk worker] said that something like that hasn't happened in ten years. Me: :flushed: So they also told me that the other people in the group were upset as well. Then they suggested I find out what happened I asked the two that went that happened and all they said was "We're in hugggee trouble" I tried to ask them what they did but they didn't answer, even though I must've asked 4-5 times so I went back to the other people and told them what they said I ended up finding out from another person what I said earlier (they went to Chipotle if you forgot) Then me and the two other people talked about how they shouldn't have gotten in trouble because they were really supposed to be out of the school anyway So, timeskip to say, around 3 hours later after school, where finally they told me the whole story Which I talked about earlier, so to recap: they got held up by another kid who wanted to go with them and if they had left earlier they would have not gotten in trouble. Also they were really mad because it wasn't worth getting in trouble for. Like, yeah, obviously. But it still REALLY wasn't worth doing in the end. Why? The Chipotle was closed.
