Uses text-to-speech, so turn your sound on. The rotors of the wind turbine is connected to a generator to produce electrical power. This electrical power can be used to power households, but excess power might be used to drive an electrical motor which lifts a heavy weight, and thus storing the energy as potential energy. The same heavy weight would also be connected to a generator, which would produce electrical energy when the heavy weight descends. This contraption, the gravity battery, might be built in an above ground structure, or below ground (e.g. in an abandoned mine shaft).
