Let's Cut To The Chase -- Why Do People Bully Others? There are 7 reasons why I think so: 1. They feel powerless in their own lives. This means that bullies at home, or anywhere else have no control of anything, but now that they're alone and when they find someone to pick on, they feel as if they finally have control. 2. Someone else is bullying them. This is when they are feeling hurt and well, they don't know how to handle it but make people feel the exact same way. When someone else bullies them their minds could've said, "You know what? I can't deal with this anymore. How do I let the pain out? Let's bully others!". 3. They don't know how to regulate their emotions. In other words, they can't control their emotions and when they're mad, they feel like the need to cause violence or somthing. This is also known as emotional dyresgulation. 4. They have a lack of empathy or understanding. This bully probably either does not care whether you get hurt or not, but they might not know what your going through either (if you're going through something). They might think that your life outside them is just normal and "just a scratch" (pun intended) wouldn't do anything to your life. 5. They are seeking attention. This bully really, really, really wants attention and would love to be noticed. But how? They bully people because they're like, "Hey! I'm a person too! Haha, you're just a nobody, and I'm actaully respected!". I hate this type of bullying. 6. They are jealous of the person they are bullying. They might be jealous of what you have or just your whole life. Or they might really want something you have. Back in the "What Are The Different Types Of Bullying", when we talked about relational bullying and my example. This is literally it. Relational bullying can mainly be caused by jealousy of a person. 7. For fun (I absolutely cannot tolerate this one) I just don't get why people would bully others for fun. I have a great example: @Bloom_Organic. They bullied @aetheic_vids for fun because they thought she wasn't aesthetic at all. It's sorted out already and they closed comments on their profile, but doing something like this is not tolerable on my watch. - S0MA, Bully stopper P.S.
