What Are The Different Types Of Bullying? There are 6 main types of bullying (as you can see here) in our community, and today I'm going to be telling you what they are and what the effect is. Physical bullying: Well, this is literally the main type of bullying. Physical bullying is when people hit and/or hurt somebody physically. Note that this is not able to happen on Scratch so don't worry about that on this website. Effects can be a slight, mild, or serious (if it gets out of hand) injury. Verbal bullying: This is what I always call "verbal harassment". Verbal bullying is when people hurt each other with words. For example, saying "You're so ugly!" or "Eww, you stink!" or even just, "Hey, nerd!" can damage the mind on how they think about themselves because of what everyone thinks about them. Again, just remember, you decide what you wear, act like, and just about everything else. Nobody else can tell you otherwise. Relational bullying (relational aggression): Okay, so this type of bullying is usually in like those books/tv shows/movies when the popular girl is jealous of everything the main character and wants to ruin his/her social life. It could be ruining their relationships with their boyfriend/girlfriend or friends. But bascially relational bullying is when people absolutely destroy someone's social life with.....whoever! An effect can be lonleyiness and that's where us kind people come in! We can help people get out of that stage! :) Cyberbullying: Alright, this is the type of bullying that has been happening on Scratch for too long. If you know what I mean, then yea, if you don't know when cyberbullying is (remember there are younger kids on here as well) then it's literally just bullying online. Verbal bullying and cyberbullying take a huge chunk of Scratch's bullying so please stop! A result of this could be losing your temper (I can relate), getting mad at your device (again, relatable), or anything else that I can't think of right now. On Scratch, this could mean more people leaving Scratch like your best friends, lovers, and more! Sexual bullying/sexual harassment: Okay, I don't wanna REALLY explain this because younger ages wouldn't really get this, but most older people do. Sexual bullying is when you make someone uncomfortable by touch them. This is a horrible type of bullying and is usually targeted to girls. Prejudicial bullying: Finally, the last one, prejudicial bullying. Prejudicial bullying is when someone bullies another person because of their beliefs, their race (skin color/origin), or political beliefs. This can be targeted to black people, brown people (pakistani, cuban, etc), Christians, Jews, Muslims, LGBTQIA+, Republicans, Democrats, and others I haven't named. Basically anybody who isn't them. Effects could be not enjoying your culture anymore thinking you have to be the same, and fit in at all times. But why fit in when you can stand out?
