Instructions

Sort of a sad/nostalgic playlist. Use the right arrow key to skip songs. Lyrics: ---- Since I Last Saw Vienna ----------- The cute bomber jacket you've had since sixth form Adorned with patches of places you've been Is nothing on my khaki coat I got From a roadside when I was sixteen My boots are from airports My backpack's from friends I'm not a man of substance, and so I'll pretend To be a wanderer, wondering Leaving ascetic belongings in hostels and restaurant bins The roads are my home, horizon's my target If I keep on moving, never lose sight of it Treating my memory of you like a fire, let it Burn out, don't fight it, and try to move on It's been sixty weeks since I saw Vienna A bandage and a wide smile slapped across my face I'll pick up my hiking boots when I am ready And I'll put down my roots when I'm dead The distance is futile Come on, don't be hasty You'll get that feeling deep inside your bones I'll be gone then, for when you must be alone ---- Fireflies ----------- Its not easy so, you take it slow You're coming up, you're coming around the bend You're my good friend Best friend And you're coming up, you're coming around the bend Ha ha, ha You're making friends with the fireflies I can't say that that comes as a surprise But the things they say are not what they seem So you've been called to tell us what they mean Yes, you've been called to tell us what they mean It's a plot though I told you so I'm wising up, I'm wising up to them They seem like good friends, best friends and I'm wising up, I'm wising up to them Ha ha, ha You're making friends with the fireflies You know when they die their light stays alive But the things they say are not what they seem So you've been called to tell us what they mean Yes, you've been called to tell us what they mean You're making friends with the fireflies I can't say that that comes as a surprise But the things they say are not what they seem So you've been called to tell us what they mean Yes, you've been called to tell us what they mean ---- La Jolla ----------- You know it takes a lot to move me So if you figure it out, tell me I'll trace figures on your smile lines Work out formulae to cure me And I'm lonely There I said it Nine million people I always seem to add them up I could go away I could pack my things and be gone before you wake You know I've tried hard to love me too It always seems to fall in, through Maybe one day I'll live in La Jolla Drinking cocktails out over the water My own personal sunset To give each day its own diploma And you know it's funny Amid my backseat taxi jaunts I'm trying to ignore the skyline So I don't figure out where you- ---- Fate of the Stars ----------- To leave from this tale follow closely ahead Prepare to exist by the living & dead Too slow or too kind or too wary of those too at ease Past all the buried impressions of then Sullen drawn eyes and expressions to mend Continued through mirrors left broken to sing and be heard Through when it seems all the senses are lost to absurd So the part where we are Trapped in active depart In the fate of the stars No, not one who we are No control; pumping heart Button pressed; mind in art Mind control Mind restart To leave from the present with no source of sound They laugh because silence is never around Ignored and forgotten the past may continue to breathe Feared not a rest by this desolate friend Whose patience revealed what intent comes to send With a stare at a hole in the world comes a lust to be high Above all the dark nested clouds that keep guard of the sky So the part where we are Trapped in active depart In the fate of the stars No, not one who we are No control; pumping heart Button pressed; mind in art Mind control Mind restart ---- Lonely (But Not Alone) ----------- I called again to say my goodnight I climb in bed, you’re out like a light I’m here but I’m never home And you’re lonely but not alone Today again, we’re out on the ride The longer we stay, the less we decide The day is all your own When you’re lonely but not alone Soon, though The patterns around us will fade away Soon, all the static will break into yesterday Or so we say I toss, I turn, I sleep on my side I know the need that I don’t provide But 'til a seed is sown You’ll be lonely but not alone Soon, though The patterns around us will fade away Soon, all the static will break into yesterday Or so we say You miss New York, you have all along I climb in bed, still singing your song My words belie the tone You’re lonely but not alone

Description

Just finished series 7 and felt inspired to do this. So long, raggedy man. Music: Since I Last Saw Vienna - Wilbur Soot Fireflies - Chris Garneau La Jolla - Wilbur Soot Fate of the Stars (slightly shortened because of scratch sound sizes) - Tally Hall Lonely (But Not Alone) - Rob Cantor Art is not mine. Was mostly inspired to do this because I found out "Since I Last Saw Vienna" fits the Doctor REALLY well, and I wanted to use it for an animation sometime, but then yesterday I was like, hey, I'm making playlists, why not make a sad/nostalgic playlist for the good Doctor? So uh, I did. I'll miss you, 10th and 11th. You were good. #Doctor #Who #Playlist #Song #Songs
