Just FYI, I just thought I would throw this out there so you guys can get to know me and my tastes a little bit more. This countdown will show you that Sonic 2006 is not really that bad, and some of the bad games I will mention aren't even Sonic games at all. Anyway, let the countdown begin! • Number 5 - Sonic Shuffle In my opinion, Sonic Shuffle wasn't that bad, but there is a lot of room for improvement (a little too much room to be exact). The music was okay, but why didn't they hire somebody like Jun Senoue to work on that? What is with the ridiculously tough AI and what's with the loading time? It didn't take that long for Sonic Adventure to load, did it? The only positive thing I have to say is that I like how the models are a tiny bit similar to the models from Sonic Adventure, which I really like. To be honest, however, I'm not into party games at all (that includes ALL games like Mario Party or Crash Bash). • Number 4 - Double Dragon IV (2017) Okay first off, why is it called Double Dragon IV when everybody knows that Return of Double Dragon (Super Double Dragon) is the real Double Dragon IV? It should have been called Double Dragon VI since there was already a Double Dragon V (which was just as equally terrible as this game). However, what makes things even more confusing that the story is set in between Double Dragon II and III, so even calling the game Double Dragon VI won't do any good. Perhaps the best name for the game would be "Double Dragon: Rise of the Renegades" or something like that. Not to mention that this game seems appealing to only the older Double Dragon fans (Gen X-ers specifically) and that's it. The only positive things I have to say are that the gameplay was okay and the soundtrack was decent (I do think they could work on it a tiny bit better). Also, I like how they brought back some underrated characters like Sonny Lee from the Arcade version of Double Dragon III, but this game still needs some improvement. • Number 3 - Sonic Boom: Rise of Lyric We already know how bad this one is, so I will make this one short. The game was extremely glitchy and rushed, in fact, it's probably a MILLION times worse than Sonic 2006. But, that DOES NOT support IGN's ridiculous claim that "Sonic was never good." This is basically the equivalent of MatPat's claim that "nobody cares about Mega Man," which is also BS! Speaking of Mega Man, let's go to the next one. • Number 2 - Mega Man X7 This game actually had a good concept, it's the story and the voice acting that were the real problems. I like what they were trying to do with the gameplay, however. They were trying to mix 2D and 3D, which may have laid the groundwork for games like Super Mario Galaxy and Sonic Unleashed, which are both great games that have a mixture of 2D and 3D gameplay. That being said, Mega Man X7 failed, and that actually makes me feel sad, but the worst is yet to come. • Number 1 - Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons If you still think Sonic '06 is THE worst game of all time, just wait until you see Double Dragon II: Wander of the Dragons and you will change your mind. This game was a remake of the famous "Double Dragon II: The Revenge" for the arcade and NES. This game was like Sonic '06, but much worse. Whenever someone is surrounded by multiple enemies, instead of being able to move out of harm's way quickly, the character you're playing as will perform a "small quick-step" in that direction and then start moving, which gives the player so little time to dodge an attack and that's not even the worst part. The game has a good ending and a bad ending. If you use any special moves in any part of the game (including the tutorial which encourages you to use them), you won't get the good ending. The game literally punishes you for using special moves that it encourages you to use, which is a ridiculous mechanic! According to the Double Dragon Wiki (take this with a grain of salt since Wikipedia tends to be an unreliable source), "it is the lowest scoring Xbox 360 game on Metacritic" which may show that Sonic '06 isn't as bad as everyone wants you to believe.
