Instructions

Flag to reset. Arrow keys change perspective, left, right, up, down. X pos of bird set with trigonometry. Diagram shows closest bird's X position as distance from center, computed as sine θ (angle) multiplied by hypotenuse (yellow). Spacebar hides trig visualization.

Description

Closer birds move more when perspective changes, resulting in a parallax effect. As angle changes, with left and right arrows, X position of birds varies with sine of angle multiplied by the hypotenuse. Visualization shows trig for the X pos (distance from center) of closest bird: sine θ * bird rotation axis (here it is about the apparent size of the bird). Each bird's X position is computed this way. Doves rendered in Blender.
