Sarene said, touching her nose to my forehead. "I love you." "I love you too..." I say, looking up at the moon. Did that really just happen?? No, not the nose-touching thing, the... song... I turn. "Have a good night's rest Sarene!" I whisper-yell to her as she leaves the balcony. "YOU TOO ANNA!!!" She whisper-yells back, her tail swishing out of sight. - - - I looked at the moon a good while that night. There was something about it.... that almost made me want to jump off that balcony and run after it. Almost something tragic in that moon. I'd have to ask Detrano, head of The Stars who the Moon Runner was currently. I always forget these kind of things. Wait wait- I couldn't do that now. I need to go to the library to research So The Sea Sings, the ancient lullaby. - - - "Annaline." Artemis said, bowing her head as I walk in. "Hullo Artemis, do you have any books on the ancient songs?" "No, not at the moment. Why?" "... Just a peculiar coincidence-type thing that happened that I need to look into." I say, not exactly lying. "Oh, oh course." Artemis replies, knowing full well something has happened for me to be walking into the library past midnight asking for a book on songs. "I'll put one on hold for you." "Have a lovely night! And dear, do get some sleep." I say, walking out.
