mmmk... story: Echo was fighting in a battle... she was about to be killed my an enemy cat. Then, when she has just about given up hope, a darker gray cat with blue marking attacked the cat on top of her. At first she thought it was her sister, Hawk. But she looked closer, and it was Hail. She couldn't beleive her eyes. Hail is her best friend. Well, was. Hail and Echo were best friends when they were young, but then Loretta dared Hail to jump off the waterfall. Hail would never turn down a dare. He said, "Ok! Watch me!" With that, he jumped off the waterfall. He landed with a splash. Echo stared at the spot where he fell. She looked around, and saw that there wasn't a way back up. She would of directed Hail someway back... but there wasn't... and... Hail didn't come out of the water. They saw bubbles come up, and a body laying at the bottom of the waterfall. Echo and Loretta waited there for days. Loretta hardly slept, and Echo didn't. Then, the cat that had taked Echo, Hawk, Loretta, and Hail in as kits since their mothers and fathers were unknown or dead, came and told them that Hail wasn't coming back. Echo never wanted to leave that spot. But she had to eventaly. Echo had always thought that Hail had died in the fall... but now she found proof that he was still alive. She yowled for Loretta. She said, "It's Hail!" And went to help him "I can take this cat myself. You should help your sister." Hail said. So Echo went to Hawk and helped her fight. Then, Echo heard a yowl. She spun around. Hail was under the black cat. The black cat was in the air, about to come down and kill Hail. Echo ran as fast as she could, and even brought her wings and flew really fast, to Hail. But when she got there, the black cat was on Hail. Hail was dead. Echo turned around to the black cat, and tried to kill him. She left him with unforgivable scars and scratches before Hawk pulled her back. "Remember our forest's code. One of the rules is don't kill for revenge. Only if you have to." Hawk said. Echo stopped. She, Hawk, and Loretta dragged Hail to Echo's den. He was for sure dead. Echo couldn't beleive herself. If she had been faster, she could of saved Hail. If she didn't let Hail take on the black cat alone, he would be alive right now. The end
