Oh my god. I worked so hard on this! Maybe, if I win the character I will make a comic out of this! Bio: Name: Angler Gender: Female (Host let me genderswap) Likes: Friends, deep sea, seaweed, sunlight. Dislikes: The cold, extremely over bright lights. Backstory: (Warning, it's super long!) Angler was a normal cat at first. She had a nice home and owners who loved her and dotted over her. All of that changed when suddenly, her owners vanished into thin air, along with the rest of Angler's town. Angler was on the near brink of death only after a few days. She had no idea how to survive on her own, and nearly starved. But, then a pair of humans wearing white coats appeared, and Angler rushed to them, begging for food. Instead, the tossed her into the back of a truck in a cage, with lot's of other animals. There were cats, dogs, rabbits, and even one deer, cowering in the back. Angler recognized some of these animals, from houses next to where she lived. Suddenly, there was a loud his crash and a hissing noise. Angler's cage was right by the window, so she could slightly peek her head up and see what was going on. There was a beautiful Tawney cat, growling at the humans as they struggled to pick her up and shove her in here to. She scratched at them as one managed to pick her up. Angler found herself muttering, "you got this" But it was to late. The humans opened the trunk and shoved the cat into the cage adjacent from Angler. "Those Idiots!" The Tawney cat growled spitting mad. "Uh Hi! Whats your name?" Angler asked. The Tawney cat turned and layed a piercing yellow eye on her. "I don't have a name. I was a street cat. Mostly they called me obscene names, or cat." She growled. Angler's ears flattened. "You must of had some name, even way far back." Angler said. The Tawney cat rolled her eyes, but adopted a very quizzical facial expression. "I did have a name once. Lilac." Lilac finally said. Angler nodded. "Such a great name! My name is Angler!" Angler cheerfully told Lilac. The Tawney cat snorted. Anglers face instantly fell. "No it's just-" Lilac struggled for the words. "You do realize your named after a fish." Angler cocked her head. "Okay." Was all she said. Lilac nodded to and then an awkward silence unfolded between them. Suddenly, the truck rumbled, and started moving. "What's going on!" Angler screeched, among many that were starting to panic in the truck. Lilac rolled her eyes. "Were moving." The truck rumbled onward for a few hours. Angler and Lilac chatted, about there homes, and what they thought had happened to all the humans. "I suspect all those people were told to leave without there pets." Speculated Lilac. "Wouldn't they have said goodbye at least?" Countered Angler. Lilac nodded. "To the Humans who actually cared about there pets, they should've said goodbye." Lilac said quietly. Angler instantly realized her mistake "I'm so so-" "It's fine. Honestly living on the streets was better then being pampered in a nice cozy home." Lilac said. Angler could tell that was a lie, but didn't push the subject. Suddenly the truck rumbled to a stop. Lilac and Angler instantly pricked there ears up. Angler could understand some human words, and heard the two grumbling to another two, words like, to hard, sedated. Unfortunately, Angler also understood what those words met. She had been to the vet enough. "Lilac." Angler whispered. Lilac nodded but didn't look at her. "What?" "There going to try to put us asleep." Angler whispered. "WHAT!" Lilac cried. Angler quickly shushed her before letting Lilac continue. "There going to kill us?" "What? No." Angler instantly responded. "There going to actually put us asleep." Lilac hackles lowered slightly. "Ok Angler, what do we do?" Lilac asked Angler realized she was going to have to be brave this time. "Ok, were going to have to not breathe and pretend to be sedated. Then, when they stop the gas, and take us out, we run." Angler said. Lilac nodded. Suddenly, the back of the truck opened and light assaulted the animals. "NOW!" Cried Angler. Suddenly animals next to Angler began plopping down. Angler followed there lead and pretended to be sedated. Finally when she couldn't hold her breathe anymore, Angler took in a comforting breath. She instantly felt drowsy, but was still awake. So she avoided the brunt of it. Angler turned to look at Lilac. Lilac cracked open an eye, proving she was also still awake. CONTINUED ON NEXT
Angler's cage was in the front, so the humans grabbed her first. A pair of meaty hands reached down to grab her. It was all Angler could do not to flinch away. Lilac was still convincingly pretending to be asleep, but as soon as a human hand cam her way she flinched. No. The human blared a warning, but it was to late. Lilac twisted out of the cage sprinting for the line of trees. The human holding Angler had a loose grip, so Angler easily scratched his hand and bolted. The human roared and pointed to Angler and Lilac speeding away. Suddenly, the ground around them shifted and moved. Angler lost her balance and fell. Lilac stopped looking at her friend. "Just go!" Angler cried. Lilac looked at her with tears and nodded, starting to run. But it was too late. The dirt in front of Lilac shifted, and the something blasted a hole out of the mound. It was a cat, but not. Angler realized s she stood up. It looked like a cat, with ears, and a cat-like body. But, it's tail had no fur and was thin as a wip. It's claws were enlarged and looked as if they could shovel massive amounts of dirt. "What are you?" Whispered Lilac. The strange cat laughed. "I am what they will do to you. Combine you with an animal, then control your brain so you can't fight there will. I want to help you. I tried to run away myself. But, they control my brain." The weird cat said. Tears unexpectedly pricked his eyes. "Whatever they make me do to you, I am so so sorry." Suddenly, the cat lurched forward, spraying dirt at Lilac and me. He growled, as he was forced to dig a hole. Angler and Lilac looked around at the unmoving dirt below them. Suddenly, with a burst the cat tunneled up to them and quickly grabbed Angler and lilac's scruff in the matter of seconds. "NOOOOO!" Lilac cried, writhing and scratching. The cat holding them seemed to be crying, as he firmly held them tight. Angler could barely make out his words before the cat dropped them off with the humans. I'm sorry. The humans measured them, tested them and took a sample of there DNA. Lilac and Angler were separated. Suddenly, the humans grabbed Angler, and stuffed her in a metal box. There was a sudden blare of light. Suddenly, Angler was in pain. She could feel the air and see the people around her, but she couldn't think. Pain engulfed her forcing her to scream and engulfing her. She cried out, then it was suddenly over. But, all of a sudden, Angler couldn't breathe. She gasped for air, but none would come to her. A scientist took her limp body and quickly dropped her into a pool of water. Normally, Angler hated water, but this seemed to be a special type. Angler could breathe and move around faster in it. But, when Angler made a sharp turn, she saw her tail. Only it wasn't her tail. There were fins on it, and when Angler looked over the rest of her body, there were fins too. Her eyes had gone completely blue, and there were little lights coming off of her. What had they done? Suddenly, there was another splash in the pool. A different tawny colored cat. This one had a fin cresting on her back, and smooth gray tail. Overly sharp teeth crowded in her mouth. Unfortunately, Angler recognized this cat. "LILAC?" She screamed in the water. Lilac's ears pricked up. "ANGLER!" She screamed back. "WHAT DID THEY DO TO YOU?" "I DON'T KNOW, BUT LOOK AT YOURSELF!" Angler shouted. Lilac screamed as she noticed her fins and tails. "THEY HAVE TURNED US INTO HYBRIDS!" She wailed. Suddenly a clear voice sliced through her skull saying the word, kill kill kill, over and over again. Angler could tell that was what was happening to Lilac to because, her claws unsheathed and she started moving towards Angler. "Angler whats going on!" Cried Lilac. "There controlling us like they were controlling the other cat outside!" Angler screamed. Lilac's eyes widened in fear. "But there telling me to kill you!" "There doing the same to me!" Screamed Angler. She flashed towards Lilac, and scratched at her. Lilac backed up swiftly, and lunged for Angler. A clear voice came through. DODGE! Angler, against her will slid to the left and scratched Lilac's flank. "Lilac i'm sorry!" Screamed Angler as Lilac's blood coated her paw. "It;s fine!" Lilac shouted back as she took another clumsy jab at Angler. KILL! Screamed the voice inside her head. Fear engulfed Angler. "LILAC MOVE!" Screamed Angler, but it was too late. Anglers claws sliced at Lilac's neck. Lilac turned her gaze to Angler her eyes full of calm clarity. Angler started to cry, burning tears flying off into the water. "It wasn't you." Whispered Lilac, and the she went still, floating like a sodden lump to the bottom of the pool. IF YOU WANT THIS TO CONTINUE, PLEASE HEART AND FAVORITE!
