Click glide to make most birds glide. Click flap to have all flap wings. Aim is to connect animation sequences smoothly. Spacebar for bluejay sounds.
Bird gliding and flapping rendered with Blender. After "glide" clicked, Scratch code starts glide as soon as flapping wings are in mid-level position. Sine waves adjust birds' altitude. To make more realistic looking, some birds don't start gliding upon command, bird's flapping starts at different positions, clouds pass by with some ghost effect added. My focus here was to join separate animations, and add control buttons, background and so on. I didn't make the original bird model. Bird model itself is available on Turbosquid--what I did with it was render animations, after joining textures to the rig, essentially assembling the parts as in a commercially available model kit.
